Side note, Sparta opened the 2003 PJ show here!

For future shows, my favorite local venues: Variety Playhouse, Eddie’s Attic, Terminal West, The Eastern, and The Tabernacle. The new Roxy is nice too but way out in Cobb county.
Thanks..........I remember that tour, I think Idlewild opened for shows I saw.............I was definitely jealous of the shows with Sparta.

I love the new Roxy!  Only about 15 minutes from me.  I live in Kennesaw.

Hmm, Masquerade is an old, legendary venue for Atlanta, but my understanding is it’s in a new location at Underground Atlanta. I haven’t been to Underground in a bit, but it’s my understanding it has turned into a bit of a ghost town.

If I’m right about that location, take Marta to get you close. Parking down there will be weird and not a happening place at night usually.
I hit it right when I moved here a few years ago from Boston. Pretty cool venue. There was a parking garage right there (Underground Atlanta). They have an upstairs and downstairs.

Thank you both for the information.......we have gone to Underground Atlanta since we've been here.......seems like they are revamping it.  My wife went about 15-20 years ago and said it was cool back then.
Looking forward to the show, thanks again.

It was nice back in the day. Hopefully it is on the way back! Most stuff has moved to Centennial Park, near the aquarium.

Saw Soundgarden at Underground during the Olympics in ‘96. They played outside on the street near the entrance.

Nice, I saw Soundgarden in 96 also but at Lollapalooza.

Yeah, that’s close for you! Cool. I’m out in Gwinnett so going around the perimeter can be a bear!

Just took my daughter to the Roxy a couple of weeks ago. She’s a big fan of Em Beihold, she’s pop, but fairly unknown. She opened for Lewis Capaldi, who apparently is a big deal? Not a big fan of him, but Em was good. Managed to get the rail for my 10 year old who would have had no chance of seeing otherwise! To say Capaldi gave her an education with his onstage banter was an understatement. Haven’t heard that many F bombs outside of a Drive By Truckers show in awhile! 😂

Nice!  Sounds like an experience she'll never forget!  I've never heard of any of those acts either but sounds like yall had a great time.

Im in Gwinnett too. Would be awesome if they played at Gas South. Maybe too small, who knows. I know Tool played there a while back.

I just hope they don't play Lakewood when they return.  I'd still definitely go but it's my least favorite venue in our area.  Horrible traffic getting in and out and the area around it is awful.

    Lakewood is horrible.

Looks like 10c Gwinnett is well represented.

Gwinnett! I’m a rare born in Gwinnett citizen. Nice to have 10 clubbers out here.

Gas South would be cool, but a bit small for Atlanta maybe? But multiple nights 15 minutes from home would be welcome! 🙏

You know if the band wanted to add an Eddie’s Attic show for us local 10 clubbers in addition to a large arena show, I wouldn’t say no to that! 😜

Definitely too small with demand. I think its capacity is 13,000 plus whatever floor/GA ya got. Best bet would be Ameris or State Farm.

That’s the first nice thing I’ve heard from someone born here.  Everyone else I’ve met just complains how much better it used to be until everyone moved here.  It’s a weird conversation when they know I just moved here.

Welcome brother! As a long time resident, I feel that Gwinnett has only improved. Now, it’s certainly gotten busier and occasionally over developed, but man, my restaurant/food options, parks, and libraries are fantastic!

My area is full giant oak trees and pines, nice people, good schools, and close access to downtown, Decatur, and Little Five Points. What’s not to love?

Just need more local PJ shows. Come on guys, 2024!

Nice! What store? Wife out of town and I had some things with my kids, so no RSD for me today. Get any good stuff?
