Maybe 4/3/24 the Anniversary of the Fox Theater show?  30 years!

Speaking of Atlanta, I'm listening to 4/3/94 right now.  Dave A is just so incredible.  Even Flow hasn't gone this hard since then.

It's been way too long to get a proper show in Atlanta. MM2012 was nice and all, but I want a non-festival show. And I would sell everything if I could get a 30th anniversary Fox show. However, I must sadly agree with my compatriot above. I now go into every tour announcement braced for disappointment.

Keep this thread alive and near the top for a couple years, and it just may work.

The “Play Minnesota” thread has certainly paid off….

I was thinking the same thing.........if it's near the top consistently, there is a better chance it is seen and recognized.

I’ll be happy to visit and “bump” this every day. 99X is back in town, so they could promote and stream another Fox show! It’ll be like high school again for me. Except this time I’ll go to the Fox!

My biggest Pearl Jam regret was not defying my parents and making the three-hour trip to Atlanta. A friend of mine went and had a ticket to sell me.

So I'm new to Atlanta, been here almost 1 year now.  I just bought tickets to Sparta end of July at Masquerade.  Can't wait to see them, should be great show.  Anyone been here, any tips or info. on the area.  This will be my first local show.........I know.....took too long, but harder when I have to find a babysitter and don't know anyone in the area.

Hmm, Masquerade is an old, legendary venue for Atlanta, but my understanding is it’s in a new location at Underground Atlanta. I haven’t been to Underground in a bit, but it’s my understanding it has turned into a bit of a ghost town.

If I’m right about that location, take Marta to get you close. Parking down there will be weird and not a happening place at night usually.

I hit it right when I moved here a few years ago from Boston. Pretty cool venue. There was a parking garage right there (Underground Atlanta). They have an upstairs and downstairs.

They have a larger fan base in the south than they realize, I imagine. 20 years of skipping Atlanta is pretty wild to me. Being from the Chattanooga area and not being able to fly around the world like a lot of fortunate people here, having them put Atlanta back on the agenda would be outstanding.

Side note, Sparta opened the 2003 PJ show here!

For future shows, my favorite local venues: Variety Playhouse, Eddie’s Attic, Terminal West, The Eastern, and The Tabernacle. The new Roxy is nice too but way out in Cobb county.

Good to know! Was going to go to Built to Spill there recently but I had a conflict.
