    I don't think the secret service gets to choose, at least i hope not. I've never seen anything saying a former president doesn't have the same sentencing guidelines as everyone else. Isn't the law supposed to be applied equally to everyone.. It would be awfully embarrassing if this becomes some kind of Pablo Escobar house arrest.

    Well since their job is protection, that would happen wherever he resides. It's also possible he would be set up in a protective custody situation. Negating the need for full-time Secret Service presence. I should think the Federal Bureau of Prisons should be able to keep him safe.  worked for epstein.....

    What? This hasn’t even been mentioned at all about the SS not allowing it where did you or I should ask where is this info from? Screw the house arrest I want him behind bars 
    I don't think the secret service gets to choose, at least i hope not. I've never seen anything saying a former president doesn't have the same sentencing guidelines as everyone else. Isn't the law supposed to be applied equally to everyone.. It would be awfully embarrassing if this becomes some kind of Pablo Escobar house arrest.

    I don't have a clue as to the range of the SS ability to make decision in these matter- that is a good question.  
    I totally agree- a house arrest would be a joke and, yes, the law should be applied equally to all.
