My guess: guilty with a suspended sentence. No judge is putting a former prez in pridon.
    maybe not in this case.

georgia and the documents case, though. just watch.
Pence testifying in front of Grand Jury in the J6 probe too. Trump has to be scared shitless with all of this stuff going on
Why would he be scared, seriously? The guy has never been held accountable for a thing in his life. I’m guessing he views this the same way.
Because he's never been arrested and criminally indicted before this week. He will likely be arrested and criminally indicted multiple times in the months ahead. You think it's a cake walk for his lawyers balancing multiple criminal indictments at the same time?

I think he's scared. And should be.
I think POOTWH knows Weaselberg and others have flipped and that he’s toast. The NYC case is just a peek into its world of dots. Tick tock.
    This is why^^^

People have literally been saying “he’s toast” or something similar for years. Out Of Our Minds is correct about that.

And he’s a narcissist with a god complex. No chance he thinks he’s going down for any of it.
He's criminally indicted for the first time in his life right now and will likely be criminally indicted multiple times in short order, Hugh. That's some new shit for him.

He's not president anymore. He's in quite a bit of trouble. lol
I’m aware. But the suggestion was that he’s scared. In his mind, I don’t think he has any reason to be “at this point”.

He may face consequences , he may not. But this is FAR from a slam dunk. People need to stop thinking this is “finally it”. This could easily blow up in democrats’ face in an epic way.
    Flight Risk out NOW!

Sound familiar? Like, anyone you know? Maybe love? Enough to fly a big 'ol flag? Happens all the time. Follow the money.

Gotti was convicted of five murders, conspiracy to commit murderracketeeringobstruction of justicetax evasion, illegal gambling, extortion, and loansharking.

On June 4, 2003, Stewart was indicted by the government on nine counts, including charges of securities fraud and obstruction of justiceStewart was found guilty in March 2004 of felony charges of conspiracy to obstruct, of obstruction of an agency proceeding, and of making false statements to federal investigators and was sentenced in July 2004 to serve a five-month term in a federal correctional facility and a two-year period of supervised release

Despite the Helmsleys' net worth totalling over $1 billion, they were known for disputing payments to contractors and vendors. In 1983, the Helmsleys bought Dunnellen Hall, a 21-room mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut, to use as a weekend retreat. The property cost $11 million but the Helmsleys wanted to make it even more luxurious. The work included a $1 million dance floor, a silver clock and a mahogany card table.[15] The remodeling bills came to $8 million, which the Helmsleys were loath to pay. A group of contractors sued the Helmsleys for non-payment and the Helmsleys eventually paid off most of the debt owed to the contractors.

In 1985, during court proceedings in relation to the lawsuit, the contractors revealed that most of their work was being illegally billed to the Helmsleys' hotels as business expenses. The contractors sent a stack of the falsified invoices to the New York Post to prove that the Helmsleys were trying to avoid tax liabilities. The resulting Post story led to a federal criminal investigation.

On August 30, Helmsley was convicted of one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States,[23] three counts of tax evasion,[24] three counts of filing false personal tax returns,[25] sixteen counts of assisting in the filing of false corporate and partnership tax returns,[25] and ten counts of mail fraud.[26][27]

On March 12, 2009, Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 federal felonies, including securities fraudwire fraudmail fraudmoney laundering, making false statementsperjury, theft from an employee benefit plan, and making false filings with the SEC.

Milken was indicted for racketeering and securities fraud in 1989 in an insider trading investigation. In a plea bargain, he pleaded guilty to securities and reporting violations but not to racketeering or insider trading. Milken was sentenced to ten years in prison, fined $600 million (although his personal website claims $200 million)[7] and permanently barred from the securities industry by the Securities and Exchange Commission. His sentence was later reduced to two years for cooperating with testimony against his former colleagues and for good behavior.[8] Milken was pardoned by President Donald Trump on February 18, 2020.

Federal authorities became intent on jailing Capone and charged him with twenty-two counts of tax evasion. He was convicted of five counts in 1931.

On December 12, 2022, Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas and was subsequently extradited to the United States.[11] An indictment of him before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York was unsealed on December 13, revealing eight criminal charges for offenses including wire fraud, commodities fraud, securities fraudmoney laundering, and campaign finance law violations;[

Hatch was convicted also on January 25, 2006, by jury with two counts of attempted tax evasion and one count of signing a fraudulent tax return for not paying taxes amounting to about $1.4 million, which were based on his past Survivor winnings, his $321,000 earnings as a co-host of a Boston radio show, and $28,000 rental property.[

On April 20, 1990, Rose entered a plea of guilty to two charges of filing false income tax returns not showing income he received from selling autographs and memorabilia and from horse racing winnings.

Donald Trump Jr confirms he signed father’s porn star ‘hush money’ check

In the criminal indictment unsealed on Tuesday, prosecutors allege a check made out to Mr Trump’s former ‘fixer’ Michael Cohen was falsely recorded in the Trump Organization’s business records

Eric Trump claims 'tens of thousands' of Trump supporters gathered on arraignment day

Donald Trump Jr has admitted that he personally signed one of the hush money checks now at the centre of his father’s arrest on criminal charges.

The former president’s son told right-wing network Newsmax that part of Mr Trump’s indictment on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records refers to his own actions.

pence will plead the 5th like a good little fascist that he is.
You cannot just take the fifth because you don't want to talk.

Talking isn't going to open Mike Pence up to SELF incrimination.  There's ONE fish to fry, and his name isn't Mike Pence.

There's one FLY to fish and it's on Mike Pence's head.
maybe he will have forgotten everything he has been asked about. if he wanted to testify he would not have been stalling and trying to get out of it all this time.

potential candidate cannot piss off the cult, no?
None of the candidates can, which makes this even more entertaining.

About those oil prices and oh, Hunter's laptop. No wonder POOTWH just claimed not to need the banks. At least he's open about it.

MBS is still loyal, in his way, to the former president who boasted to Bob Woodward, “I saved his ass” after the 2018 murder of Post contributing columnist Jamal Khashoggi. MBS’s sovereign wealth fund has financed the LIV Golf tour that has showcased Trump’s resorts and has put more than $2 billion in an investment firm run by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and former senior adviser.
Seriously? I should have guessed that Trump and Kushner have their greasy fingers in LIV. It's a such Trumpy kinda thing.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

I cannot fathom how insane 2024 is going to be with multiple trials and an election happening at the same time. As insane as the last 8 years have been...next year could be the topper.
It's going to be crazy, to say the least.

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America:

“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history. From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats - the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country - have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement. You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this.

“The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable - indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference.

"Never before in our Nation’s history has this been done. The Democrats have cheated countless times over the decades, including spying on my campaign, but weaponizing our justice system to punish a political opponent, who just so happens to be a President of the United States and by far the leading Republican candidate for President, has never happened before. Ever.

“Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who was hand-picked and funded by George Soros, is a disgrace. Rather than stopping the unprecedented crime wave taking over New York City, he’s doing Joe Biden’s dirty work, ignoring the murders and burglaries and assaults he should be focused on. This is how Bragg spends his time!

“I believe this Witch-Hunt will backfire massively on Joe Biden. The American people realize exactly what the Radical Left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it. So our Movement, and our Party - united and strong - will first defeat Alvin Bragg, and then we will defeat Joe Biden, and we are going to throw every last one of these Crooked Democrats out of office so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

    Donald John Trump
Thanks for posting this everywhere, KP. It's nice to be reminded of how this weasel is squirming.
It's so clear buy his language. That he is on the hot seat to jail we hope

You think it's a cake walk for his lawyers balancing multiple criminal indictments at the same time?

    https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/03/30/donald-trump-indictment-r-kelly-michael-avenatti-00088097

Twice impeached and a subverted Team Mueller, plus long standing DOJ policy not to prosecute a sitting POTUS. Should have been toast three times. Chickens coming home to roost now, karma, whatever. Shit takes time and things are moving along. Its a wee little different in 2023 versus 2016-17, 2018 and 2020, no? Mazars, tax returns, Weasleberg, Jack Mack and the Heart Attacks because of Mar-I-Lieo and POOTWH's god complex, 1/6, Georgia SoS and the "perfect" phone call, all a little different than that russia, russia, russia collusion hoax, right?
You’ve been saying it’s the end for him for about 5 years.
It should have been the end of him for five years. There was a shit ton of fuckery that took place to deny justice.

Jared Dear Boy is not part of LIV. He’s got the $2B investment fund funded from the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund despite no previous institutional investment experience and gets $25M per year guaranteed as salary regardless of the fund’s performance. Sure, nothing was exchanged for that deal.

But Hunter’s laptop. Have you heard about Hunter’s laptop?

It all starts with Hunter's laptop. Get that out there and they're all going down. Brandon, Hillary, Obama, Bill, Carter, all of them.

Queue the second warrant. Hey, happens all the time. I look forward to its day in court. You know, to clear up the misunderstanding.

The application for court approval for that search said agents were pursuing evidence of violations of statutes including 18 U.S.C. 1519, which makes it a crime to alter, destroy, mutilate or conceal a document or tangible object “with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency.”

A key element in most obstruction cases is intent, because to bring such a charge, prosecutors have to be able to show that whatever actions were taken were performed to try to hinder or block an investigation. In the Trump case, prosecutors and federal agents are trying to gather any evidence pointing to the motivation for Trump’s actions.

The Washington Post reported in October that Trump’s valet, Walt Nauta, had told investigators that he moved boxes at Mar-a-Lago at the former president’s instruction after the subpoena was issued. Smith’s team has video surveillance footage corroborating that account, The Post reported, and considers the evidence significant.

In addition, the people familiar with the investigation said, authorities have another category of evidence that they consider particularly helpful as they reconstruct events from last spring: emails and texts of Molly Michael, an assistant to the former president who followed him from the White House to Florida before she eventually left that job last year. Michael’s written communications have provided investigators with a detailed understanding of the day-to-day activity at Mar-a-Lago at critical moments, these people said.

“It’s All About Trump’s Election Criminality

The details of the various investigations are complicated, but the thread connecting them is easy to understand

You don’t have to closely track the minutiae of the legal developments in each of the investigations to understand what it’s all about. It’s okay if they blur together in your mind. In fact, that might be helpful in seeing the big picture, the unprecedented nature of the threat Trump poses.

See, at the broadest level, the Manhattan district attorney’s indictment of Trump regards the same subject as the ongoing investigation by the Fulton County district attorney in Georgia and one of the investigations now being led by the special counsel in the Department of Justice. In fact, the case even strikes the same theme as the Mueller investigation and both of Trump’s impeachments.

What would that be? Election criminality. That’s the throughline of most of Trump’s corruption since 2016. He covered up hush money to his mistresses, made overtures to Russia “if you’re listening,” held up funding for Ukraine, put the squeeze on Georgia election officials to “find the votes,” and incited the January 6th insurrection all in pursuit of the same goal: to win presidential elections—and then, when he lost in 2020, to overturn the results…”

Although you are right anything could backfire but what should the DA do, ignore a clear crime? Legally it appears there is an irrefutable crime here.

If trumps argument prevails, that he did this for personal reasons, then he is screwed for lying to conspire to commit tax fraud, by calling the bribe “legal fees” to deduct on his business taxes. If not for personal reasons, then it’s an illegal contribution to his campaign because the campaign benefitted by stormy keeping quiet. Either way, it’s a crime, despite the confusion expressed by some posters here.

This gets complicated for trump if the Fulton DA and special prosecutor smith have the same backbone as Bragg.

Of course the DA should prosecute if they think they can get a conviction.

"Election criminality"- that makes good sense.  The courts won't see it that way, of course, but hopefully all of his various crimes will lead to his downfall once and for all.  Sadly, his minions will continue to blather on about what a great hero is to them.  That anyone could find that to be so is mighty perplexing.

One recent poll shows "Among Republicans, 73% think the one-term, twice-impeached, criminally charged former president has had a positive impact on the Republican party."  How can so many people people that?
