    i kind of feel sad right now. i was just sitting here thinking "how did we get to this point?" how can a convicted felon be this close to the presidency? how can so many millions of people see that he is guilty and still vote for him? as if the convictions do not matter.

    we know he has been a criminal all his life, and these are just the things that we know there was enough evidence to charge him with and try him for. what else is there that he is guilty of and we do not know about?

    we are at a sad time in our history. this man just needs to go away. he said he would leave when he lost in 2020, yet we hear from him every single day. he can't lose with dignity, and his people eat it up. its just so weird and sad.

    I read that the SCOTUS has no authority here since it’s a state trial and conviction. I’m not a lawyer though. 
    I read there could be a small roundabout way scotus could get involved.  With as corrupt as they are I’m sure they will look at ways to get involved

    If they turned a blind eye to Jan 6th, this is nothing, IMO, compared to that.  It will sadly just get the MAGA faithful more motivated and probably more violent.  Trump can literally do whatever he wants and his faithful will line up.

    It simply has to go to two appeals courts in New York.  The first won't touch it and there is a good chance the second won't.   If they don't, guess where it goes next...

    Almost zero chance he goes to prison, as it should be. We don’t want to jail former presidents on anything short of murder.

    Hopefully the appellate takes its time and doesn’t throw this out before November. The NYS law here is a little suspect and poorly written.
