    They usually have played it in drop D, standard tuning with the low E string tuned down a full step - now they are doing drop D but all 1/2 steps down.  Which is fine by me if it gives Ed more juice to keep going live

    I went to all the Canada shows, and I had an absolutely incredible time, but that was my primary issue with the shows. A ton of songs were tuned down. I understand why, but it changes the way the songs sound so much.

    Yeah it definitely gives them all a different vibe, I am a guitarist myself so keys all have a very distinct vibe and feel to me so anything different has a distinct different flavor to it.  Not necessarily bad, but it can be audibly jarring at first!

    I'm guessing this was a sirius issue that caused the reboot if ed is clearing their staff and the building staff. oh well, - glad it's back on

    Tuned down in this case the actual pitch of the instruments, lately for Even Flow and others - for the first time they have pitched some of their older songs (and some Gigaton songs) lower -it started around the time Ed had his vocal issues and the canceled shows.  Most likely to help give him the stamina and make it easier on him overall

    I hope they never do a show for corporate stooges again. The beauty of the first 5 cuts was wasted.

    This could have been great if they had a theater full of fans
