‘The South’ complex
Being from the Dallas area, when I’m waiting for a show I pretty much always wonder if bands are having to fight through it when they hit this stretch of their tour. Especially with this PJ tour, they will have played to a bunch of awesome crowds in great cities throughout Europe, then their usual big northeast cities, MSG on 9/11, then entering their final stretch with 3 nights in a row with 1 night off before rolling in to Oklahoma, their regional one-stop so they don’t even have to come to Dallas. I usually wonder how much fuel is gonna be in their tank, do they hate it down here, do they think this is lame part of the tour, are there here out of obligation (or, ‘ah-ba-li-ga-SHUN’), etc. I feel like this is where the exhaustion could really set in and they’ll be ready for this tour to be over. Honestly I’m not really worried about them putting on a good show (they were fine in Tulsa last time). This is weird, but it’s more about, like I want them to like coming here, or that regardless of where they are, when it’s showtime they’re happy to be playing here. Ya know?
