15 staples, 4 Gigaton songs out of 23 total. This trend is so weird. Something has changed with the band. Not gonna lie it’s kind of bumming me out.
Exactly.. especially all of the ticket and travel money I’ve dropped for this upcoming US leg.. not like things are getting cheaper in this world. Reverse inflation on the PJ sets. Sucks..
sure it’s great to be there but these things stink on paper.
The people defending stone is still odd.. onlh band member that ever seems upset on stage and doesn’t look like he wants to be there.

Hey. First time seeing them internationally. What a show. I legit feel bad for the fretters out there who didn’t even go to this show and somehow found a way to bum themselves out about it based on what, a set list, on a computer screen? What a crowd, what a show, what a night, what a band. So good. Peace, all.

Just that we have no evidence at all that Stone is the driving force behind any of this. He might be, but we have no way to know that.

Ha! I guess you weren't at Oakland 2!
* edit: Each of the guys has his own performance style. I enjoy all of them, And the fact that they are different. Not sure what you are interpreting as Stone upset and not wanting to be there, I don't see that, myself.
Holy shit, some of you. I don't post on here much, but a lot of folks are acting really fucking weird with the speculation lol The sets are what they are. We've got through more than two years of pandemic and the band has had a very large break in between touring give them a fucking break! Haven't we all been through enough? Can't we just sit back and enjoy the fact that live music is actually happening at all right now? Instead of complaining about setlist nuance? Some of the posts are fucking funny, but come on, you gotta admit some of these are bordering on spoiled and assumed privilege. Not trying to tell people what to post, but I needed to vent after reading this shit the past couple of days! lol
thanks for the answers everyone! Just having fun with it. We all love the band. No answer is a wrong answer. Have a great Saturday evening!
I don't know man. Some of these answers are wrong. 😉
I'm just trying to not get lit up, haha. I have an opinion, but not sure if I want to share. If you say the wrong thing people get agro. Just going to see where this goes...

Agree 100000% with this and what Abe said. Not even same Pearl Jam. Blows big time. I had Bunch of tickets for fall leg. I’m canceling my plans, selling all the tickets, and just gonna go to 1 show. Not the same Pearl Jam at all.
If this is a vent fest, I'm going to add that the 'Ed Safety & Security Pauses' were a bit annoying in the 6 shows I went to in '21 and '22.
Obviously I know their history and I know that 'safety is first,' but does Ed really need to stop the shows so much?
Put a security guy on stage or elevated above it so they also have a bird's eye view, and give him a high powered blinking flashlight to signal Big Mike and the guys on the floor where the issue is so Ed doesn't have to stop the show and do it himself.
Flame away, but seriously...I've been to a lot of shows by a lot of bands/artists, and I've never witnessed such a thing.

The people complaining about the show who weren’t even there is comical. Sell all your tickets, we definitely don’t want you at the next show…. A bunch of Pearl Jam Karens

Of course I'm biased but, the shows in Italy are always amazing hopefully some photos of the crowd will get posted. Someone said 50k+ pretty damn impressive 😎
65,000 tickets sold was reported in local Italian paper

Not the best pic, but the crow was massive. Four sets of speakers that’s how far back the crowd went in what I thought was a pretty narrow field/tarmac
Wonder if the band is using advanced statistics now. % of ticket sales through 10c Vs general sale for each show, and adjust the setlist accordingly
Lol. No. They have no idea who ended up with the tickets much less 2 years later. These setlist in my opinion, due to one member (cough cough stone). Eddie played dirty frank a few months ago. He gets it. There’s an internal struggle whether people want to admit it or not. It is what it is, but I I coming from South Carolina to Budapest and bough general tickets because of all the changes the last few years.
What are you basing this opinion on?
The fact Eddie still mixes up sets, stone has been known to want to play the “hits”, he’s literally argued with the band on playing deep cuts on stage, Matt, mike and Jeff love playing live. Like literally you can see it in their faces. Stone just goose necks and plays his same ole chords. Again, it’s an opinion, but something happened within a few years when they play the same songs every night (from 36 a few years back) like they are the stones in their 80’s. At least the stones have a vote song lol.
This take has no merit at all. Did you know Stone wrote the setlist for Quebec City in 2016 and Charlottesville in 2013? Have a look at those as far as song selection goes.
Oh boy! Don’t have me look at old set lists during this current tour! That Quebec City set is loaded. Shows what we are missing. I agree. I don’t think Stone is the problem. There probably isn’t even a problem.
2 hours 20 minutes, 23 tunes with no full covers, seems like a winner to me. Unfortunate that some fans got less than that earlier on this leg , but not sure what the beef is with this one.
How much talking do we have at these shows. If it's 23 songs with little banter and just flame sets, cool.

Last run at msg was meh imho.it's too classy there now. Sure others loved it. I've been lucky to have seen a bunch of shows. I'm kinda done. Still a whore for a nice poster though.
As grave as it is to say, at some point, this will all be over. And we’ll be wishing for a 20 song, Ten-emphasized live set.
And, for what it’s worth, this band is always capable of throwing a 12 to 6 curve and shutting us all up with a set list we’d hop on a 24 hour flight to witness.
I trust the beer is cold in Toronto and Nashville. “LFG” as the crazy kids say.
