Based on interviews he gave while promoting the film "The Founder," in which he played one of the McDonald brothers, Nick Offerman appears to have a critical view of McDonald's and the fast-food industry.
He has stated that the story of McDonald's, as told in the film, points to a "national malaise" where "quality is the first victim in the fight for profits." Offerman has expressed concern about the lack of "substance" in the food and the company's focus on financial success over serving healthy food. He has also contrasted the fast-food model with the value of cooking and growing your own food, suggesting it's more rewarding.
While he's a talented actor who has played a role in the McDonald's story on screen, his personal comments indicate a preference for a more wholesome approach to food than what McDonald's represents.

I don't care what anyone says...McD's is fine. Not a place to expect a quality meal but good for a hit and run.

Egg McMuffin is a solid choice. That egg is cracked and freshly cooked.

Fries are decent. Best coke you can buy from fast food. Burgers are kind of weak but they're tasty....McChicken is good but the other chicken sandwiches are crap in my opinion.

    Snack wraps are decent.

I like using the app because you can easily customize your burger. I get the double cheeseburger no ketchup/mustard and add mayo, lettuce, tomato

The movie itself has a critical view of of McDonald's and the fast-food industry. It literally shows us exactly what Offerman said... He probably learned that from the script.

I love McD's fries, and the filet o fish, and yes, the mcmuffins are really good. And this "fake food" theory is baloney. The food there is just as real as at any other place. It's just not healthy. Most of the menu is pretty terrible IMO, but to each their own. My big complaint is the PRICE now. It is SUCH a huge rip off!! A Quarter-Pounder meal now costs over $15CAD. That's insane. The good thing about McD's was that it was cheap. Now the food just isn't worth the price, since it's not actually very good.

I’ve always liked hot cakes and sausage. Haven’t had them in 15 years though. If I need a fast breakfast I would choose chick fil a. The chicken biscuit is outstanding.
