Dave A played all over the place and couldn’t keep time. Grohl is one of the best drummers of the last 30 years. Pretty easy call imo

I am, in fact, a musician. Dave A had a lot of personality as a drummer but he was an extremely busy player and not nearly as steady as other drummers the band has had. I’m guessing you’re not a musician.
Beato seemed to think Dave A had a unique value as a drummer here, bringing a style to the beat the subsequent drummers couldn’t exactly capture.
