I know this was asked about the rumored European dates, but this quote makes me think there are no concerts planned anywhere:

“At pearljamonline.it we reached out to a representative of the band who promptly denied these rumors. Pearl Jam are currently working on their new album and do not have any concert scheduled at the moment.”
As if any representative would answer a request like this with „Oh yeah, we have a full world tour planned with dates being finalized. Wanna know the current itinerary with tentative dates?“

Of course they deny any touring plans till the day of the announcement.
I’m not sure. They could just as easily have said “we can’t announce anything at this time.” Much more wiggle room than “we don’t have anything scheduled”. They also didn’t need to confirm that they’re in the studio. All of this just gives me the impression that there is nothing going on this year.

    My .02, even though I wish/hope I’m wrong.
Lightning Bolt was recorded in March, announced in July and release in October.  There is plenty of time for all of that to happen this year.
Also, now they have a recording studio available 24/7 recording albums is easier and they don’t need everyone on site together.

This pic is epic!!!  The look on the face of the poor Disney "plaid" in the back seat that had to escort this miserable  VIP fucker all day is priceless!

There is no confirmation that they are in the studio with that article. That would be huge news and not something that would be buried in an article about a Euro tour rumour being squashed. We have known for awhile now they are working on the album.

Ray would probably say so too, if he was able. Don't get me wrong, I like both band's music, but it would be a let down after the speculation.

I saw the Lemonheads last year and "let down" would be the kindest way to describe it. Evan Dando is one of the 5 worst live performers I've seen in 35 years of concerts. And I LOVE It's A Shame About Ray and Come On Feel The Lemonheads.

I think the upcoming Ohana lineup in a couple weeks, just a guess, is key. Everyday without a PJ announcement tends me to think they will announce both about the same time and PJ will play Ohana. If you think about it, tour starting early Sept back east and working its way to Seattle with a stop at Ohana the first of October. Maybe a stop in Vegas too. The timetable for an announcement makes sense, to me anyway.

Of the scenarios that are possible, this would feel to be the most likely imo.

In fact, if Ohana had enough demand for 2 weekends, Vegas could be between the weekends.

The question to me is did Pearl Jam play only in 2021 due to wanting to play outdoor spaces because of COVID or are they open to playing there again as a group?

Side note: Dimi is cool. Truly a legend on here. But there is no Official Arbiter of Hinted Information for this band.

Nor do I think anyone would want said position.

So, not sure why anyone would have a problem with this, or any thread on the matter? 🤔

Dimi is the hall-of-fame legend who retired but the franchise is still hoping he'll come back. Dimi isn't walking through that door, folks.

There is no problem in that. But there's also no problem in talking about what we hear, or want 🙃
