This thread has always been the go to place for info not social media. Lots of great work done by a lot of great fans on this board over the years helping us save money.
Fort Worth is a great town, glad they are getting a chance to have the DFW show this time around.
I guess it would have to be at Dickies Arena but that place isn't big enough. Maybe that's why there are two dates? Just play AAC in Dallas. It ain't that far between the 2 cities. I live right between them and can get to both downtowns in under 30 minutes.

Yeah. AAC is not a great venue but it works. not sure why they’d go with someplace moderately smaller in a big market.
AAC is 20,000 and sold out in 2013. dickies is 14,000.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street for the show in 2014. Seemed like a nice area to us.

In markets with busy venues, Friday / Saturday / Sunday are actually more expensive to book.
With the demand PJ has, paying additional booking fees for the premium dates is unnecessary.
Venues would actually rather have them on a weeknight. Sold out venue on a weeknight isn't happening for small(er) markets on the interpol/SP tour.
That's useful info, thank you.

Some restaurants within walking distance of Xcel. If you’re into Italian food, Cossetta’s is two blocks away or so right on 7th.

Luis on top of cossettas in St. Paul is the real Italian place.
St. Paul is on the quieter end of metro cities. Many museums and a slower pace. I have lived in both MPLS and St. Paul. MPLS is hipper, very very very liberal and more expensive than St. Paul imo.
I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Man, still waiting for anything on Vegas (and Philly?)
There have been 0 legit Vegas rumors. Just hope. Don't count on it
Valid Point. Hangin my speculation on Tsurt's now-deleted dice post, as well as the fact that it is a logical pit stop in between Austin and Dana Point. Not banking on it, but holding out hope.
For anyone thinking MiA...that ship has probably sailed. The lineups the last few years have been GARBAGE...a bunch of music for Gen Z'ers. As someone who lives down the street from the philly art museum, it's just young kids there anymore. MIA doesn't have rock acts and only caters to the young crowd now.
The area around Xcel Center in St. Paul has changed a lot since the '14 show.. Some of my fav bar/restaurants have changed over to chains, a few new young/hip places have gone up with new condos and hotels. Plenty of bars to hop, and if you're from out of town that's all that matters day of anyway. As for things to do around town, you'll need to drive around but that all depends on what you're looking to do!
That Friday night Dallas/Ft Worth show is going to be a TOUGH ticket.
First night of Rosh hashana will keep a small percentage from attending
Yes, that should make a real dent in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Dallas has a big Jewish population. I grew up with a lot of Jewish friends and wouldn’t be into phish or Pearl Jam without Jewish summer camp and high school youth group.
but it is just 1-2%
