How sad is it that I'm actually looking forward to playing the upgrade game thru F2F again?
After having to explain to my tax guy I sold many, many, many F2F at no profit I’m gonna be a little more cautious on when I jump on them. :)

I assumed this was a joke at first but maybe not??

We usually have a decent idea where they are playing as the announcement gets closer. (mostly thanks to Dimi) All we have right now is some shows in the midwest? I won't get my hopes up for the norheast because I just can't believe it would have been kept a secret all this time. But fingers crossed for something nearby!

I'm still assuming this was a joke.
    Same.

    Absolutely.
No way they play multiple shows in each of those 3 states.
1 total show somewhere within one of those 3 is a long shot.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Assuming a September 1st start date, when was the last time we had 5 months notice on a tour.   That would explain the lack of rumours and leaks.

Northerly obv reference to Northerly Island in Chicago.  But WI, MI, MN would be cool too!
    Or Canada :)

If this is a lead up to album release like they did for Lightning Bolt... do some late spring /  early summer shows to road test things, then do tv shows, etc to promote in amongst tour dates.

Based on 2013, social media "teases" and rumours.. maybe some of these:
    Toronto or London?
    Chicago
    NY
    Boston
    -----
    Denver
    Dallas
    Seattle

Still thinking my "gut" feeling from a month ago is reasonable like they did for Lightning Bolt... do some late spring /  early summer shows to road test things, then do tv shows, etc to promote in amongst tour dates.

Here's quick hypothetical for everyone while we await the hopefully big news...

If PJ set up a residency in your hometown for a summer, 10 miles from where you live... lets say 8 weeks @ 4 shows a week, how many of the 32 shows would you go to?
    32. I would relocate to any place they announced a residency. Seriously.

I am still blocked by Ticketmaster after refreshing too many times for F2F last year.  Curious why would the playlist only have four cities?

F2F is awful, if they don’t play enough shows for demand please no F2F I’d rather overpay. Or trade with fans.

No one knows, but the slideshow they released along with also had shots from Philadelphia and Austin in addition to the places on the playlist.

Right out the gate, I would plan for 6-8, with the expectation that I would probably go to more at the last minute. Since we’re in the land of make believe, I would get more if ticket prices were less than what we’re now seeing.

I'd LOVE to see a "Places We Haven't Performed In At Least 20 Years Tour." Maybe. Just MAYBE, Albuquerque, Lubbock and El Paso/Las Cruces might get shows. Not holding out much hope for even 1 show in ANY of those markets. *le sigh*

I live 4 miles from Key Arena in Seattle, so in a fantasy world this might actually happen. To answer your question, as many as I could get away with and remain married. I think 10 is about as far as I could realistically push it.
