Fresno, Greatest Hits or Deep Cuts?

I can’t help but think that there may be something special about this show. Curious to get other’s take on this. Will it be a greatest hits night, or will they bust out rarities as it looks like mostly a Ten Club show?

The people that are going will say deep cuts. The rest of us are wondering how a Pearl Jam show can be as empty as this one is going to be.

Was originally planning on just LA in May.  Been trying to figure out the best way to get to this show and maybe go to Yosemite the day before.  Not exactly cheapest flights with cash or points to get there (or airports within 4 hours) it appears.

Was reminded of the 2000 set which just cooks.
  • Is it a huge venue or something? Or am I out of touch and pearl jam is a niche band now? I didn't realize that shows could have trouble filling up. They're the only band left from that era, what the hell?

Fresno is actually one of the smaller arena's of the May leg. It's just the over saturation of California shows that's causing the poor ticket sales.

We'll be entering a weird place if they start designing setlists to pump up future ticket sales.

I think over saturation plus the 7 week heads up and the current cost of flights.  If Fresno is announced with 3-4 months heads up and when flights all across the board aren't so expensive, I think it performs much better

What makes people think it’s a Ten Club show? What do they get, 5% if the venue? The rest are normal people, not fanatics

Great point. Flights are insane. 2k from Atlanta. I was looking at LA because of cheaper flights and back to back nights but tickets were way too expensive and seats not great. Oakland is a dump. So decided on Fresno and Sacramento because of all the great seats available for face value or a bit more. Plus I can walk to arena for both shows. Can't do that in LA or Oakland. Add up all the plus and minuses, going to Fresno and Sacramento made the most sense. Will be weird seeing a half full arena for PJ though. First time for everything I guess

I'm pretty sure this is the show my buddy told me about - he was at Stone's side pretty close, and at some point someone threw what looked like a smoothie or a slushy type drink on his amps. The look Stone gave was definitely "why did we come play here?" lol. Now this is a story from way back, so I could be mistaken about the location.
