I'm starting to look at sonder lum myself, or Lax (Hilton)hotels. Flying solo, any more insight would be appreciated.
I might be going as well and also flying solo. Wouldn’t mind an Uber mate if possible. Thinking Hilton
Let me know. Looks like from the comments 1 or 2 others were staying there as well. Haven't booked yet.

made last minute decision to go to Fresno and Sacramento instead. Amazing seats right near stage for pretty much face value.

Husband and I are driving our camper from Montana & doing SD-LA-OAK and camping along the coast between shows. Can't wait! We're staying at Dockweiler Beach campground for the 2 LA shows. It's right next to LAX so gonna be loud but sounds like a decent spot to camp that's near-ish the venue. Planning on ubering to/from the Forum but would love to find a better way to get back to the campground after the show. Guess we'll just wait with the masses.

Was there any other LAX Hilton people? Looks like all Lax hotels are kind of close together.

That sounds like a fantastic trip! We're doing the same shows but it will be much less cost effective with hotels and trains and rental cars. I'm pretty excited though.

Just cancelled my room at Hilton LAX and switched to Westin LAX.  Was a little cheaper and the rooms are bigger.

Awesome! Other than Ohana, we haven't spent any time on the southern CA coast so we're super looking forward to spending time exploring. Do you already have all your stops booked between LA - OAK? We're going to play that portion by ear as it's during the week and there seems to be a bit more campground availability then than the weekends. It's like a competitive sport to book a campground on the beach on a weekend ;) I've learned a lot about making reservations 6 months in advance!

Sheraton Gateway LAX. I've stayed there before and caught a cab back from the Forum after a concert. Had to wait in line maybe 30 minutes. That was 2017 though, do cabs still exist? I was also there for the Super Bowl this year and the post-game transportation wasn't great. Wound up walking to Chili's on Century Blvd and hanging out for awhile until we could get an Uber back to Marina del Rey. There's a casino in the same complex too. Might have better luck walking over and getting an Uber from there.

Ive attending many Forum concerts & its one of my favorite LA arena venues.  I usually stay by LAX and prefer the Westin LAX.   Just booked yesterday on priceline express deal (4 star LAX gateway) for May 7th at $95 & got the Westin!!  I just Uber or Lyft to & from the Forum.
Yes there is a pricier surge after the concert But nothing like the wait after a game/ concert at SoFi stadium.
Sometimes after a concert i make the 25-30min walk over to the IN-N-Out burger on Century & its a quick Uber/Lyft from there.

If people are looking to spend some time in a nice area while in LA for the shows but remain closer to the venue and LAX, I would definitely not recommend staying at an isolated airport hotel with nothing to do that is walkable and instead stay at any of the many nice hotels in Marina Del Rey.  Pull up a map and you will see how close Marina Del Rey is to the airport as well as to The Forum (not as close as airport hotels, but plenty close enough). There will not be a big Uber/Lyft price difference from The Forum to MDR as compared to LAX hotels. You will also have easy access to the very nice area of Santa Monica if you stay in Marina Del Rey and have lots of walkable things to do during the show days (as opposed to LAX airport hotels, which require an Uber to go anywhere). I usually stay at the Marina Del Rey Marriott and am doing so again this time. If all you are looking for is a cheaper price though, yes, LAX hotels are cheaper than MDR.

Also, don't forget about the South Bay.  Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo are all not very far from LAX / Forum with tons of restaurants and stuff to do.

No question lots of Nicer hotel & food options than the LAX hotels!  The nicer area hotels are easily 2-3x the total cost on a friday & saturday night plus check the cost of parking.
These shows arent cheap & the drinks at the Forum arent cheap either!

Add me to the Westin.  PJ should play a show in the large conference room for us!

Have you looked into an AirBnB? You can sometimes find them for cheaper than a hotel. I did that at Dana Point last year and it worked out great.

I'm staying at TownePlace Suites just south of LAX and renting a car. I'm solo and I don't mind picking a few of you up at your hotel close to
LAX or The Forum. We can split the parking cost (probably $20 or so). But I still need tickets to both shows so if anyone knows someone selling a GA to one or both PLEASE let me know! If you can get me in touch with someone selling a GA I'll be your damn chaufffer and drive you all around LA!

Some are easily walkable from the terminal if you don't want to deal with shuttle

Yes, I ended up bookin an airbnb four blocks far from Sönder Lum, so would be nice to have company in the walking at the end of the concert...
