Nashville tickets voided and refunded

nalyd61nalyd61 Posts: 722
Hi. My good friend had this happen to her. Anyone else? Long time 10c member. Won the new lottery for Nashville last week. She was charged. Received the congrats email and the claim tickets email. She went to claim the tickets over the weekend. And saw they said void. Emailed Ticketmaster. Got a response today that they were refunded and the refund was deposited 2 hrs later.
Wtf? Anyone else have this happen and get a the tickets back?

That that really sucks. A few people on here mentioned that they were refunded their 2020 tickets without asking for it. I was refunded for my Eddie Vedder commemorative ticket without asking for a refund. As a result of all this I have been obsessively checking my tickets in my TM account and my iPhone Wallet to make sure they are still there. We should not have to worry about this kind of stuff. It’s insane.

Wonder if they needed some more premium inventory.

That sucks. Cheapest pair on tm right now is $1500 for the pair. That's nuts.

Did she already win tickets through a previous lottery?

Maybe she waited to long to claim them? I know mine came through to claim the weekend before last. Maybe they void them if too much time goes by before claiming.

    Was the ticket limit exceeded?

That really sucks… whatever the reason.  Hopefully they can straighten it out for her.

As someone who was lucky enough to buy Nashville tickets at face value, this is horrifying...TM can just do whatever it wants and their customer service is attrocious.

Whatever happened it’s probably your  fault according to TM so I doubt they will fix it.  Never mind the fact they have tickets in inventory still, so they could/would if they were 99% of the other businesses in existence

This was my thought, but there's no indication on the "Claim your tickets" e-mail that there was any sort of time limit. Wouldn't surprise me if this was the issue, though.

these were the only 2 tickets she got from TM or 10C.  I claimed my Nashville after she did and they were fine.  it seems to be an error on TM end.  They have told her there is nothing they can do.  I hope 10c fixes this for her.  Sher has already bought non-refundable airfare and hotel.

There are too many reports of tickets randomly being refunded for there not to be shenanigans of some sort happening. This shit is wrong.

I had fourth row Nine Inch Nails at Red Rocks and 4 weeks after purchasing they got cancelled by AXS. I contacted them and they said they got cancelled due to a over the limit sweep. I only purchased 2 and they admitted that they were cancelled in error but nothing they could do.

This is different than some of the reports I read about of people who had 2020 tickets refunded. I got tickets for Nashville in the new lottery and their was never an option to get a refund that I can see. There would have been no way for them to have received a request from her, so it is completely their fault and they need to make it right. She might not be able to get the same tickets she had before, but since they are holding onto a number of premium tickets, they should sell her a pair of those at the original price they paid.

Also of interest I went on the AXS site after tickets were cancelled and they were selling premium tickets in my seats area for over $1000. Makes you wonder a little bit.
