    I saw it all over some Reddit forums and noticed it's all over right-wing media.  The Conservatives are making it news story #1, so I'm trying to find the real details on it.  I'm aware of the original story from a few years back and that it was basically a non-story, but they're making it seem like some big smoking gun was just revealed.  Is it just the fact that an investigation is ongoing that they're pointing to?



    The Two Rules of US political investigations, 

    1, when the subject is a Republican it’s a waste of taxpayer money witch hunt, nothing to look at, even if five cops end up dead after the Capitol was breached.

    2, when it’s a democrat, run ‘em out of office, lock her up, she’s a crook, Hunter is a crackhead and it’s all Joes fault 
    If Trump is doing the talking of course.

    In a sense....and that isn't news. The news was the Hunter paid off his tax debt which likely means he can't be criminally prosecuted.

    Now....maybe something will come out of it. Who knows. It's all speculation at this point.

    The main thing to take from this is that if the major media isn't covering it there likely isn't anything there (yet at least.).

    That is really hard for magats to swallow but that is just how it is.  There is real news and shit news.  They listen to shit.

    If you read the actual NY Times article the right is talking about, and that Mickey linked to, you'll see that it is not the bombshell the right is making it out to be...as per usual. The article also has like no new information regarding the emails. It's everything that I remember reading about in 2020. Had Hunter been running for office or, perhaps, been a member of the administration like Trump's daughter and son in law, then maybe there would be something worthwhile to talk about.

    If you do not read the actual NY Times article and instead rely on soundbites from Fox, or from stories on weird right wing websites/facebook groups---then you'd be inclined to think this was the biggest story since.........wait for it......wait for it.......uranium one. womp womp

    Exactly....every step has been suspect. Maybe there is something there...who knows? But I think we have seen the dirt (i.e. nude pics, strung out pics, etc.) and the hype is likely right wing bullshit.
