Yeah making Vegas plans were not the easiest.

If you are flying into Vegas on Spirit or Frontier the day of, BEWARE and have a backup plan. Spirit and Frontier merged and a lot of their flights are being cancelled/changed. If you have points on Southwest book a backup flight just in case the others cancel/change. You can always cancel the Southwest flight and get all your points back if you dont use it.

As far as rooms, MGM Grand is going to be high now that Pearl Jam has been announced (plus its Preakness Stakes weekend). Try Luxor, New York-New York, Park MGM, and Excalibur (last choice). Off the strip there are some places on Tropicana Blvd not too far from MGM Grand that will be cheaper and a quick lyft ride away.
    Play Sacramento!

Thanks! Hit up Kayak and in addition to these found Mandalay Bay for just under $300 a night. Not too far down the strip. Has free cancellation so going to stick with this for now. Gotta get on a flight!

If you are looking for a reasonably-priced restaurant on the strip, Mon Ami Gabi, located at the Paris Hotel, is a great option.
Had a great breakfast there last Oct.

Big fan of Mon Ami Gabi. Had our wedding dinner there, and make a point of stopping by for either a breakfast (great) or a seafood tower on every trip

Don't forget Downtown/Fremont, might be a little cheaper there.
