I’m sure that this has been said, but this is a long thread. Flying in solo Thursday night and am curious about a good spot for breakfast or early lunch. Nothing fancy, I tend to be happy with hole in the wall places that are great.
Want to fuel up on a meal and then get over to the Merch line.
Any suggestions?
The Egg and I on Flamingo Rd. It's pretty far off the Strip, so you'd need a car, but it's a great place and I go there every time I'm in Vegas (although maybe not *every* time because I won't make it this time since I'm flying in Friday afternoon and out Saturday morning).
Hoping that the Golden Knights make it to the second round and somehow have a playoff home game on the 18th,19th or 21st. I might even hit up that EDC festival if they sell single days on the 21st. I have never been to something as crazy as that and might be fun to check out.
Anything else anyone local would suggest aside from the touristy stuff that is widely known or easily searchable?
I wouldn’t mind seeing a Golden Knights playoff game if they make it that far.
@PJNB; there are several awesome beer and food places north of the Strip. Able Baker Brewing and HUDL Brewing are really good.

I'm a local. What are you looking for?
Food recommendations! I love all food and would be curious where someone from LV would eat. Generic question I guess but we will be there for 5 days so would love to try all sorts of types of food.
(Honestly, if I could've grabbed a low rate there, I would've booked it. No shame. But friends have had mixed stays, too. What's for certain, nothing's worse than Circus Circus, or Rio.)

I was in Vegas once and everyone we talked to said the same thing about Circus Circus. So funny
Listing my seats on the aisle in section 13, row M in a minute. Thanks, COVID...

Its all relative. All those places are pretty bad by Vegas standards. They are just old and dated.
The Rio would be closed down if it wasn't for the World Series of Poker. Back in the day it was awesome. Pretty big rooms with a big couch. Fast forward to now......I think they still have CRT non HD tvs in the rooms.
Sounds crazy, but Circus Circus has a really great steakhouse.
Sad to say that I will miss this show. Positive for COVID today. LA and Oakland was an amazing run, but I was so looking forward to Vegas. Fuck!!
Feel better! And thank you🙌
thanks

That's the best about Vegas. Everyone says it's a bad place to stay, but the steak. Love it!!
What’s up with those section 13 row F tickets? They’ve been up there for about a day now.
One of those situations where at least 2 people are constantly trying to buy them, and it glitches out. TM is frustrating as hell.

The Trop was redone about ten years ago, though. It's a perfectly nice hotel.
Safety 1st...and 2nd..and 3rd. See yall in the fall, or will I? I guess I. Should be grateful...seeing folks on Facebook who are coming in from Australia and Europe. At least I'm only coming from Georgia.
At least I found out about this at work and not traveling to the airport.

So are those of us who booked rooms through EDC for just one night just out the money for the hotel? I tried clicking the link in my confirmation email and it was dead. At least I was only driving so it's basically a wash of losing the hotel money but not having to pay $5 a gallon to get there.

I got charged one night for calling the hotel stay based on canceling through EDC.

I went through the EDC site too. They charged me about a month ago for one night. I just called my hotel, MGM Park, and they went ahead and refunded me the EDC charge. I got everything back. So cal your hotel direct, not the EDC site.
Uggh. Booked through Zen hotels. Luxor won’t cancel or refund and Zen won’t guarantee me a refund. I have to cancel first and hope I don’t eat the cost. Just passed my refund deadline two days ago.

Thanks for the tip! Called the Excalibur and they refunded me for my one night.
Even though it was under 72 hours before my stay the NY NY hotel gave me a refund. I was very appreciative. I do have a partial flight credit good through August, but I don’t know if I will end up using it.
