@Lukeat911 - Rearview would be a great opener, it would remind me of the tours when they used to open with Animal and Go

How about a tour of Hoover dam? Worthwhile?
I'd recommend the dam tour as well.  Make sure to take lots of dam pictures and enjoy the dam scenery.

Ellis Island BBQ seems to have a limited menu but looks to have great reviews. Anyone here recommend it for good BBQ food or something better?
Ellis Island has good BBQ and is relatively inexpensive compared to most places on the strip.  It's a few blocks off the strip (about 2 blocks behind Bally's) but I consider it a nice breather for the Strip (though it has become a lot more popular in the last few years).  They also have a $10 steak special in their coffee shop (not on the menu) but I think you need to sign up for a slot card to get it.

Thinking of a last minute solo LV show trip, fly in Friday morning and leave Saturday, but just checked hotels a reasonable walk from the venue, saw the prices and decided I may have to do some digging to find something decent involving an Uber or taxi ride instead of walking. What is the Uber/taxi situation like there?

This is Canadian dollars and there are fees but this is the Orleans hotel west of the strip. No refunds though for this price but it’s a good deal. It is a 45 minute walk to the venue so not the closest but overall best deal for distance around right now

If you're leaving Saturday, getting a hotel is almost a waste if you ask me. Between pre-parties, waiting in the merch line and by the time the show ends you'll almost into Saturday at that point. It's not like you won't be able to find something to occupy the time until your flight leaves on Saturday. Just my two cents.

I appreciate the advice, but a nice place to rest my head Friday night will be welcome. I have to get up SUPER early Friday morning to drive 2 hours to get the the Indianapolis airport to catch my flight to Vegas so I am going to be pretty tired.

Trust me bro, I’ve been in your same position before and told myself the same exact thing. 😂

Funny how those slot machine sounds and endless supply of drinks have a way of messing with those plans. And that’s speaking as a child of the ‘70’s. 😎🤘

Either way, if you go I hope you have a good time! Nothing more fun than a spur of the moment trip to see your favorite band!
