i thought the public release was a 3 lp version. this release is a 5 lp version, with each b side with etching.

I’m thinking 7empest will be one side.
Be nice to have this release and an audiophile pressing of 10,000 days.
$810 USD is crazy so nice to hear that there will be another option.
Wonder how available it will be if we can Amazon it to avoid US shipping costs.

    I’m confused by this myself

on their website it made it sound like these are the advance copies of the same album (version)that is being released later.

Is it wrong to assume they will be the same minus the autographs? Unless there will be ultra deluxe and a 3 lp version available… “ Having just received their personal allotment of the forthcoming (TBA) FEAR INOCULUM ULTRA DELUXE LP”

I read the statement as the 5lp is the only release coming and the advanced autographed copies are available on tour now. Tool has always been over the top with packaging so I doubt a 3 lp version will be available initially, if ever.

That is for the autographed copy! The wide release will likely be between $250-$300 which is also not cheap for a single album but typical for a boxset

I guess $810 isn't bad considering PJ charges $1000 for a signed poster. Man, why didn't I buy that signed Tool poster for $100 CDN back in 2010?

  • Its the extra $10 that makes me chuckle. Either someone did lots of math or zero math to get that specific price

I feel bad for the guy that only brought $800 to the gig.

Zero room for flippability. Not for the casual fan.

I prefer that. I’d rather pay a market rate from the band and not have to be refreshing my computer all day as it won’t sell instantly if they price it high enough  vs missing out and buying on eBay at a higher price

either way your going to pay a lot. Might as well pay the band

the autographed ones may have some room to flip. Just saying when they release the normal box set
