First time going to Las Vegas

Definitely agree on seeing the Beatles show...we really enjoyed it.
We don't gamble a ton when we go either, but it's always fun to play slots and enjoy the free drinks. We like to watch people play craps...those groups tend to get really rowdy, which is fun.I LOVE MUSIC.

Yeah, full vouch from me for the GC South rim / Sedona / Jerome area.tempo_n_groove said:
No doubt but it's good to name drop these places as ideas for others.Merkin Baller said:
Jerome is the shit, and being only about 25 minutes from Sedona there's no shortage of places around there for great sightseeing.tempo_n_groove said:
Williams is one of my fav places out that way. Jerome would be my first though.Gern Blansten said:
We broke up a Vegas trip by going to the GC for a day before. We stayed in Williams, AZ for a night and hit the GC with a tour in the am. I would recommend a tour of the south side. The west side is closest to LV but our research led us to the south side.cp3iverson said:If I ever go my plans are:
-Raiders game
-drive to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam
other than that I have no clue what I’d do in Vegas. My wife and I don’t gamble lol
Probably too far from Vegas for OP being there on a conference though.
That's God's country out there.0 -
Yup...absolutely stunning out there. Hoover Dam is really cool too, but I don't think Chris will have a car.Merkin Baller said:

Check out the Volcano in front of The Mirage. It goes off periodically in the evenings. Also it's days are numbered since that property was just sold so enjoy it while you can!
Someone mentioned walking through The Venetian earlier. I recommend that as well. Very cool place to see."I got memories, I got shit"0 -

If you go to the Bunny Ranch, watch out for Airforce Amy. She will make you go broke!JojoRice said:Never play Blackjack at a 6:5 table. Always play at a 3:2 table.0 -

Do you recall if they had the Adams Family or Batman Pinball games from the late 80's early 90's? Those are still my favorite pinball games to have ever played.mfc2006 said:
Yes. We went there on our last trip---it was awesome.JojoRice said:Pinball Hall of Fame is also in Vegas. Hundreds of machines to play if you like arcades/pinball.0 -
Yea, they've got Addams Family. Don't think they have Batman though.tempo_n_groove said:

I bought a Twilight Zone pinball machine for out basement about 15 years ago. Lots of fun but expensive to have someone come out and work on it. Luckily they don't require much maintenance.
I don't see bids on these but I paid $1,600 for mine.

good advice...really sucks that the better casinos are moving to 6:5. That's why Fremont St rules.JojoRice said:Never play Blackjack at a 6:5 table. Always play at a 3:2 table.
Fremont St is a freak show but very cool light show. Just be sure to check before you go....sometimes they will have some shit band playing which stops the light show for the eveningRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I've never met anyone who has gone to Vegas who hasn't enjoyed it. And lots of people who aren't gamblers and who I didn't think would enjoy still really had a good time there. It really offers something for everyone.2-feign-reluctance said:Thanks friends! Like this thread, sounds like Vegas has it all!

Should be fun, I'll be in sessions all day Thursday - Sunday, so won't have a ton of time on my hands, but have a nice list of places to eat from my amigo @mfc2006 and some lovely rec's here in this thread!www.cluthelee.com0
