What bands would play a Superbowl Halftime show with Pearl Jam?

Options
Bla bla Pearl Jam would never play the halftime show bla bla

Whatever, but if a trailer like this would be released but with Pearl Jam in it -- what other bands/artists would have been with them on the bill?

🤣🤣🤣 Here’s a good question- if PJ plays the halftime show with Motley Crue, do they use a stationary drum kit, or one that elevates and rotates? This would be a major point of contention.

Eddie: You aint having no rotating drumkit. That is silly.

Nikki: Well, then you can't have your fake wine bottle.

    Eddie: Touché

Unfortunately I don't think there will be another rock band performing during the Super Bowl half time. I mean maybe like a Coldplay or Maroon 5 type of band. But not a Pearl Jam or Mötley Crüe.

But if Pearl Jam did it. They'll have 12 minutes. So that's maybe 3 or 4 songs. They could do Lukin>Not For You>Do The Evolution > Better Man(no tag)

If Pearl Jam did it, they would being out a guest or two that reaches across other demographics than who they largely appeal to, but would work with their sound (and probably connected to Andrew Watt). Miley Cyrus comes to mind. I could see them doing 99 Problems with Jay Z again. I don't expect any early 90s era contemporaries.

I don't think then them playing is very far fetched (I bet they have been asked a few times), but yeah, even though they've softened on working with corporate entities, It may be too "sponsored by Pepsi" for them.

Also if they do it, its just gonna be portions of hits.

Either they do it alone or they don't do it at all.

Tangentially related, I'm pretty psyched for tonights half time. Was kinda hoping we'd get a new k.dot single, but that was probably an unrealistic expectation.

    They're getting ~14 min.

Will be cool to see what they do.

  • I was really worried when my other fav band, the Who, did the halftime show in 2010(?). But it was honestly really enjoyable and I’d love to see PJ do it. I think the Chili Peppers would be a great fit if they absolutely had to do it with another band.
  • Isn't the problem that they can't use live instruments etc?

    But okey:

    EMINEM = Pearl Jam
Snoop = Red Hot Chili Peppers
    Dr Dre =
    Mary J Blige =
    Kendrick Lamar =

If Seattle got a Superbowl, and they really want to go for it.

Pearl Jam, AiC, and maybe some of that Soundgarden fronted by Brandi Carlile?

RHCP would also be a good fit, given how integral that band was in the formation of Pearl Jam.

Anything different than tonight's show would be an improvement. I thought Dre and co would give a memorable performance, and I was definitely interested... until it started. Wow, that was boring and stale! Sound was bad, lighting was poor, and no real surprises. Emineminem, Blige, and Fiddy looked like there was someplace they'd rather be. Predictable hit snippets without passion or energy. Kendrick Lamar was probably the best, but WOW that was bad.
