This isn't a surprise at all. Some PJ fans can't seem to spend their money fast enough. I mean some of you bought that Viewmaster thing...

Its surprising what people will pay for stuff like this but surely the secondary market will be small considering it looks like it is just a sticker on a stock white sleeve. Its cool they are getting some out to fans on release week but the whole sleeve thing just seems like a marketing move when Im sure they could have had these properly sleeved on time with a bit of planning.
Wow, first reaction is I'm kinda sick of this. Releasing a vinyl then releasing another "special" limited version to get double the money. I know I know, if you don't like it don't buy it. I won't.
I agree.
First they take the money for the standard LP and/or deluxe CD, then tell us it won’t ship for another 5-6 months. Then they offer a $3 coupon if you buy a different copy. Finally they announce another version of the vinyl that is due to ship on time. This had better be the album of the year after all of this!

Well some people clearly see the 10C fee worth paying when it makes them margins like that! 🤦🏻♂️ As disgusting as it is flipping it (& like hours later too - hath they no shame!) who, WHO has hundreds of dollars spare & knows about this edition to be snapping them up that quickly?
Like Covid, it looks like we just have to “learn to live with” flippers 😩

Eddie could have printed more. The buck stops at the one deciding to make things limited.
Not defending people flipping. But Eddie and PJ know their market and they decide to not make enough.
Maybe they couldn't? I don't know but this feels like a quick one off pressing because there was a huge delay which would mean that maybe they couldn't get more. If this was planned from the beginning that is one thing but we don't know. They probably thought this would be cool idea because of the delay, but they will never make everyone happy.
I'm willing to bet Ed pays zero attention to what merch they sell.
yeah, the first time someone asks him for his signature on this variant he'll say no thinking it's a bootleg.
You guys don't think he know what versions of his own music get's officially released? Come on. The shirts, pins, whatever, sure probably doesn't care that much but I'm sure he knows with the music itself at least.

the different versions and variants? I don't know. there's a shitload of different versions and variants that are released internationally. maybe this one needs a "sign off" of his or something, but it wouldn't surprise me if he forgets about it as quickly as he found out about it. I'm sure he knows about commercial singles and releases, but limited editions and such? wouldn't seem important.

I think this is exactly it. Some plant had capacity to pump out x,xxx amount of copies, so they jumped on it and made a basic sleeve with a sticker. Probably also produced by the plant. and they went for it.
Its a fun release. it gets something out to the hardcore fans for release day. Have fun guys. Everything doesn't have to be so serious all the time. This is just music.

Totally agree. At worst, there was an email saying, "hey, we found a place that can press some quickly/the plant can get is x,xxx now and the rest later, so we're gonna do something cool for the 10c and make a special version". Ed probably said " sounds cool" and went back to throwing ax.
I can't imagine hes super involved in the details outside of the music and art design, unless he wants to be.
I think the amount that was pressed was more than enough. These were available over an hour after they went on sale. I'm pretty sure most people that wanted one got one.

Not sure about that
Look at all the vault 1 complaints and that was up for 6 days, those complaints I do find ridiculous, however I do think anything that is gone in a little over an hour is valid for a complaint if someone didn’t get it in time.
people would have been upset no matter what though as it always sells out just before someone tries to buy it no matter how long it’s up
Would be a really nice gesture if we were permitted to cancel our regular LP orders.
check the status of your order. if it still says "processing" and not "processed" then you can email and request to cancel. they cancelled mine literally within 2 minutes of me sending the email.
Thanks - I did this and got a cancellation.
Cancelled my 10C preorder today as well. If for some reason I feel the need to buy the standard release in July, I can grab it from my local shop or someplace without spending $$ to have it shipped.
