POLL - The WEAKEST LINK of BRITISH BANDS - ROUND 4

MedozKMedozK Posts: 9,209
Ok, so I haven't done one of my 'Weakest Link' polls in Other Music in a long while so I thought I would take this back to where it started with music.

Continuing to the FINAL FOUR so we can debate our love of British Bands.

Lets determine the GREATEST BRITISH BAND.

You are going to pick the band that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 2 days I remove the two (2) bands with the most votes. We will then move on to the FINALS.

The Who - Eliminated Round 3
Black Sabbath - Eliminated Round 2
Queen - Eliminated Round 3
The Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
The Clash - Eliminated Round 2
Radiohead - Eliminated Round 1
Oasis - Eliminated Round 1

POLL - The WEAKEST LINK of BRITISH BANDS - ROUND 4 47 votes

Least favourite of the four left. Don’t find myself pulling Zep records off the shelves these days.

In the early going, four way tie for last, lol.
Easy choice for me this round, sorry Floyd fans!

There’s only one all-original band left on this list that basically broke every fucking mold.

The rest just kind of hijacked Black music and repackaged it for a white audience.

Hate the other three, or just not a fan?
If Jimi Hendrix had been British (Mitch and Noel obviously were) how would you fit The Experience in with that thought?

Big fan of (nearly) every band on the original list.

Love Hendrix. And the Experience. They also broke quite a few molds.

A lot of good music to love there on all accounts, for sure!
I have a couple of friends who are huge Pink Floyd fans. I was not a huge fan in the hey day and then any chance of liking them got trashed by a dude I new back then.  Awful experience.  Even now, I can't hear that band and not wince.

I had to vote out Pink Floyd, just because to me they have a lot of duds in the catalog. But these 4 are all unique.

Yeah, I meant all-original music. You won't find any covers in their catalog. And you won't find anything in their catalog that sounds like another band, except the bands that ripped them off later, that is.

Having a hard time selecting one of the four.  I'll have to stew on this for a bit and then reluctantly select one.  Maybe I'll toss a coin.

Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin close to beating out the two greatest bands in the world.  This is such a strange place.

I just bought my first Stones record (Beggar's Banquet).  Admittedly, I know nothing other than radio hits in their catalog. They're a band I've been meaning to explore since the beginning of the pandemic.

A great album and not a bad place to start.  I wouldn't call Beggar's Banquet "under-rated", but maybe a bit underappreciated.
It would be fun to do a Stones "favorite album" poll but impossible here.  There are simply to many of them.  Just in the original band with Brian Jones era alone there are 12 of them!

3rd time in a row voting for Pink Floyd. Never got into them, and I’m not keen on the covers that PJ do either.
