I saw Josh do Buttercup at the first Flight To Mars show in Seattle in 2019 right after Shawn died. It was a very nice tribute then and an even nicer tribute now.
Brad was by far the best Side Project band...due mostly to Shawn Smith. What a treasure he and his voice were.
shawn's voice was something special... I have heard some demos shawn did with regan and dave place and ty wilman..and it's sooo good...band called Fires... hopefully regan and loosegroove release some of that some day
but as for side projects... my money is on mad season.... i think that's one of the best albums to come out of the seattle scene... nevermind, superunknown, dirt, ten... all massive huge classic albums... but I think the mad season record is crazily underrated and to me is one of my favorite seattle scene records...all killer no filler!
Awesome stuff all! Thanks for sharing it! Welcome to Discovery Park will always be my favorite of theirs. That album will always hold a special place in my heart.

Awesome! There was another Hagar's project around 2010-11 called Buffalo Something or Something Buffalo that never got to see the light of day. I'd love to see that released as well

The final Brad album is in the works and it will be using demos and lost vocal takes from the late Shawn Smith. It could come out later this year.
