I was fortunate enough to see them in DC years and years ago with a fellow 10c member that I've lost touch with. It was a nice evening.

This photo shoot was done at our beautiful Capital Hill-off Broadway
house in Seattle,Wa. It was our sanctuary and the happiest of times.
Shawn wrote and recorded the first half of "Let It All Begin" here and
up the street ( at the more professional studio), Christopher and
Heather Thorn's Basement. The second half of the album was done w/ Nick
Didia in his home studio in Atlanta, Georgia.

This month, 32 years ago, BRAD recorded their debut studio album, 'Shame'.
It is one of my favourite albums to ever have graced my ears, a joy to the senses, let me tell you! The production is insaaane! And the band are all so incredibly skilled at what they do. Every instrument is clear and nothing gets lost within any of the mixes. Stone's gorgeous guitar tone really sets the scene for the soulful and emotional tracks on the album, making way to the rhythm section. Regan's drums on this record are hard yet delicate when the songs call for it, and the crystalline sound works perfectly with Jeremy's clear and distinct bass tone. What do I say about Shawn? What can I say? He was one heck of a talent...His voice was beyond beautiful and full of soul, the kind of sound that gives you goosebumps in the best way. He is so missed. There will never be another Shawn Smith.
Thank you BRAD (Shawn, Stone, Regan and Jeremy) and Loosegroove Records!
