+1.  Am interested in RHCP tix but not at these prices, at least not this far in advance.  I have also found in the past that you’re lucky to get 90 minutes out of RHCP whereas we complain if PJ does less than 150.
PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024:  Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

EV Solo: 2017 Louisville and Franklin, 2018 Ohana, 2019 Innings Fest, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Dublin and Ohana; 2021 Ohana Friday (from beach) and Saturday; 2022 Earthlings Newark; 2023 Innings Fest and Benoraya 1-2.

    Gutted:  London 2 2018, Sacramento 2022, Noblesville 2023

Wonder when these shows will happen since Chad has the Chili Peppers world tour coming next year.

Logistically, it might be tricky to schedule an Earthlings tour.  I doubt Eddie will want any indoor shows in the coming months due to the same safety concerns that prevent Pearl Jam from performing arenas for the time being.

That takes us to next year.  Jeff has stated PJ plans to record in the winter but they are not the type of band that holes up in a studio for months on end.  That can leave some time for Ed to play some shows with his solo band before gearing up to finally launch the Gigaton tour (hopefully) in the spring.  Then there is always the possibility more Earthling shows could take place after those rescheduled U.S. dates and before RHCP shifts into high gear.

Pearl Jam also has a summer European tour and more U.S. shows in the fall (again, hopefully).  Though he has performed solo shows immediately following a PJ tour, the bigger dilemma is finding an appropriate time for all the Earthling musicians to be available.

On a positive note, Ed tends to hold his cards close to his chest, so if he talked to Chad about playing more shows, he probably has every intention on making that happen.

Great question.  In a typical nonchalant manner, Jeff mentions it at about the 27 minute mark on the "McGonigal’s Chronicles: Making Montana Connections" podcast.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. I won't hold my breath as they say things some times that don't pan out, but cool that recording more new music soon seems to be something they are planning on right now.

Truth. I paid $195 per ticket for their 2022 show in Vegas. Came out closer to $600 for a pair after all fees.

I only pulled the trigger because they're playing with The Strokes and I was able to score pit (seated tix are the same price). I love the Chili Peppers but holy shit, this may be the last time I see them.

We had those same tickets in the cart, but decided to pass. We may wait and grab tickets closer to the show date.

Agreed, I mean it is a double bill with the strokes but still. Stadium shows are the worst because despite being the worst venue for live music the prices are always ridiculously high.
  • I put in for Beacon tix!
