I really noticed keyboard during porch last night. I'm assuming that was Josh. It added a lot of depth and sounded great.

Wow, what a night, and what a magical 3 show run!  I knew it would happen at some point...my eyes started 'watering' when All Night kicked into gear...not during Release like I was hoping for, but a great treat nonetheless!

While after 16 shows I may have finally hit my 'white whale wall' as this was the least amount of new songs/covers/tags I've ever seen at 3 (Take The Long Way, Again Today, Waiting on a Friend tag), it was a solid setlist, and the atmosphere was amazing, especially from the top row of the bleachers.  One of my favorite moments was when they played Wishlist and I filmed the crowed on the beach behind me, including what looked like a very fun little dance circle (note to those who miss out on tickets in the future that this is a viable option after a nice day of surfing, etc.).

It was great to see Once for the second time, and to get a little taste of the Avocado.  And of course another highlight was seeing my favorite track from Gigaton for the 2nd time, but this time Quick Escape sounded slower...my buddy mentioned the same thing to me, so I know I wasn't imagining it.  Very cool version of it.

Alive, Even Flow, Dance of the Clairvoyants, and Seven O' Clock were the only four songs played each of the three nights in Ohana.  I was hoping to hear Deep and complete Ten, and also Comes Then Goes, but I'm already looking forward to San Diego, and two nights in LA (hopefully dates will be announced soon!).

I introduced 3 of my buddies to PJ for the first time, one joining me at all 3 shows and he is definitely hooked.  Next up...hook my kids.  :)

What an AMAZING show. My third ever. My last two were the home shows in 2018. I don't think anything will ever top night 2 of that, but the energy in the show last night was unreal. My neck hurts from rocking out, which is a good sign. My highlights:

    • SBWM is fantastic live and a great opener
    • Last Exit and Not For You were AWESOME, Vitalogy is my favorite album so was stoked on those
    • Lukin ripped
    • Dance of the Clairvoyants was transcendent and so good live
    • Wishlist was unexpected and really nice
    • Even Flow went harder than it did in Seattle, MMC went OFF
    • Unthought Known is one of my favorite PJ songs and I got it in Seattle but was happy to get it again here
    • Once is tied for my favorite song on Ten, so stoked to get this as I didn't get it in Seattle
    • Again Today is one of my favorite covers they do so hearing with Brandi was a treat
    • Wasted Reprise and Life Wasted was such a nice surprise to start the encore. We got the reprise in Seattle, but not the full song, so it was just a tease.
    • I don't love RITFW as their closer but man was the superjam awe inspiring. Seeing the drummers from SG/PJ, RHCP and FF on one kit was a once in a lifetime experience
Hope everyone had as much fun as I had. My next tickets are for Poland next summer... BRING IT!
  • During Sleater-Kinney's set, Eddie was watching from the side of the stage dancing, singing along, and even filming some of it on his phone (as was Jill). During Modern Girl I saw him singing along to the "My whole life..." part. Then a few hours later, we get the Modern Girl tag with Not For You, which I thought was really wonderful to hear. Think it was played specifically because they had performed earlier?

Certainly could of been part of last night’s tag choice, but MG has been a fairly common tag on Not for You for long time.

Awesome show! I was the row behind the rail, right across from Ed. The band was dialed in and everything sounded great. Highlights for me were all night, last exit, not for you, smile, and life wasted. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for the rescheduled arena dates (hopefully) next spring.

Good thing you included the picture for context or some folks' minds might have gone elsewhere!

  • I was kind of near the back of the lawn but at one point was Mike playing the guitar with his tongue?  It certainly looked that way from my vantage point.

On the Even Flow solo? That's what it looked like.

Could he have had a pick in his mouth maybe? He did it both nights and it was pretty cool.

Did she/you catch it directly from Ed? Or was someone kind enough to give it to her. It was clear he was aiming for her. Very cool!

The crowd kindly passed it to her as per Ed's gestures.

Just can’t stop thinking about how good these shows were for my soul.
