Greatest album of the 90’s

I know it’s FB but this is a fun tourney. Ten is the only PJ album still in it and should be matched up again today or tomorrow. So many good albums have been defeated.

I’m starting to worry that all of PJ’s albums (aside from Ten, of course) are being omitted from lists like this. Yes, I know they’re just silly online diversions but I’d hate for these types of things to skew their legacy. The other four nineties albums mustn’t be forgotten!

At least in this poll, the others weren’t omitted. VS and Vitalogy were in it and have been beaten- both by RHCP, I think. No Code may have been eliminated before I saw it. The matchups are randomized so 2 heavyweights may go against each other early on. Nevermind was eliminated by OK Computer yesterday while Korn still has two albums in the bracket due to weak matchups. Temple of the Dog is still in it at least.

    Ah, okay. Good to know.
I know it’s silly but I’m still bothered by only Ten being included on that recent Rolling Stone 500 top albums list. I can understand why No Code and Yield might only be for “us” but the omission of Vs and Vitalogy really irks me.

I agree. I personally think Vitalogy is as close to a masterpiece as they can get. Such a weird, claustrophobic yet captivating record. Definitely deserves to be in the RS Top 500.

    my opinion:

    Ten is #1.

Temple of the Dog is #2.

    Mad Season is #3.
Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall

I gotta say Vs. is their rock masterpiece. Ten is the kick off, Vitalogy begins the great experiment but Vs. is perfection and I don't get it not being seen as such.

That Wildflowers comment is no joke. Vs, Wildflowers, Ok Computer are my clear cut faves.

WF is a gem of gems.  A masterpiece.. the kind of record you can enjoy at age 19 or 69.

Very Radiohead-friendly (like me). Wish there was a little more love for Pearl Jam.
