We did not travel that journey before, but we did a citytrip last summer to Krakow and in our experience the trains were very good in Poland. Connecting flights could be a bit tricky. If your first flight is delayed, you might miss your connecting flight. The train from Warsaw to Krakow should be less than 3 hours.  We have booked most of our  flights already with Wizz air and EasyJet. You can check on rome2rio. com for information about trains and other transport.
Thanks for the advice, we are planning to travel by train from Berlin to Zurich and Vienna to Prague, just this leg seems a bit more problematic.  We also travel with Easyjet when we can, you pay for what you get and they have been excellent with refunds or transfers from the '20 and '21 flights that we have had to cancel, and have most of our flights for 22 booked already.  Basing on what is available now (clearly can change) a LOT connecting flight from Budapest to Krakow is only £10 more expensive than a single flight from Budapest to Warsaw  but point well made about delayed first flight.
What’s wrong with the train from B to K?

For anyone looking for Amsterdam tickets....

The Ticketmaster site tends to drop some pretty good seats daily between 6a-10am EST.  Two weeks ago I was able to get a pair of GA for June 14 and this morning I was able to get another GA pair for June 15th

Today would have been opening night (AMS 1) if Covid had only delayed the tour one year.  Unbelievable, really.

Watching soccer today - football if you prefer- Czech vs Netherlands at Budapest.  The announcer says it’s 500 km from Prague and 1300 km from Amsterdam.  And I am thinking why can’t it be next year already.

For anyone going to the Krakow show, the Hampton by Hilton Krakow have just released rooms for gig night 14 July 2022.

This hotel is one of if not the closest to the arena.

People may want to consider as I understand getting back into Krakow city centre wasn't straighforward during the previous European tour.

Bookings are fully refundable on booking.com

Hilton system allows bookings one year ahead. That’s why it became available now (and still is). The Doubletree hotel is also right next to Hampton Inn.

I think I’ll stay downtown. Planning on staying a couple of days anyway. Last time there was issues if you headed south from the venue to the tramline. Some accident causing delays. We headed north. No issues. Both stops are about the same distance from the venue.

  • I went to the Krakow gig last time and stayed in the Doubletree, i'd recommend it or the Hilton. Both are within a few minutes walking distance of the venue and are excellently situated for the tram into the city centre. I imagine trying to get away from the arena right after the gig would have been difficult, it was so nice to be in a hotel room about 10 minutes after leaving the venue. Lots of PJ fans were staying these 2 hotels too.
