Looks like sometime in May for me.

California operates on an “honor system” (ha), in that those who technically don’t need a vaccination right now should wait to allow for those who legitimately need it. Apparently we have many assholes here trying to fake their way in because they’re special.

My immunity is fairly compromised, but if another month or two of my going without means the groups intended get theirs, I’m cool with that.

I think I've said it before on here but two weeks ago yesterday I go the J&J vaccine.

Day after I felt kind of tired/weird.  Day 2 back to normal.

i got the pfizer vaccines. first one was 2/12. only side effect was my arm was sore for about 2 days. it was a little longer and a little more sore than a typical flu shot. no other side effects.

i got the second one on 3/5/21. i had no arm soreness at all this time. i got it about 10 am. by 3:30 pm i was really tired. i took the rest of the day off and fell asleep on the couch. i woke up about midnight and went to bed were i slept until about noon the next day. no other issues besides being really sleepy following the injection. was back to normal the day after. hopefully this thing works.

Yes, that is GREAT to hear that some in NJ are getting vaccinated.

Still waiting for the email to get my mom her shot. I registered her on Feb. 14th and the email said I would be sent another email so I can pick the Date & Time for her shot.  I'm still waiting for that email.  We may just wait until the masses are done.

Damn. Anyone would be frightened by those reactions! I hope the second round goes much smoother for you.
Thanks you for your kind words. I believe it was my anxiety that caused these reactions, more than anything. Thanks for your kind words also @lastexitlondon.

I'm sure the reservation process is going to be a bitch, but I'm excited!

I'm guessing I'll react similarly to you, @ConorKavanagh . I have anxiety in general. I also have a fear of needles. Finally, I had a stroke about five years ago, and when my anxiety kicks in, it feels an awful lot like the onset of a stroke. The worst reaction I've read about regarding the vaccines also appears to be some sort of stroke. So it's a perfect storm to assure that I'll wind up a puddle of stress they'll have to squeegee out of the inoculation center when it's over.

I m sure it is an old wives tail but on the recommendations of others my wife and I drank a bottle of Gatorade right before and after our shot and it seemed to have lessened the side effects as compared to others.

I've heard the same thing about hydrating before and after your shot.

Okay. This is not a good thing to be resigned to. Hit me up in private message and we can prepare you for it if you want? My anxiety was unnecessary, ultimately. I was just overthinking the entire situation.

After some F5 sessions yesterday, I secured an appointment for my first shot next Wednesday. I guess all those years of refreshing to buy concert tickets paid off.
