    Thanks!

Yesterday at the didn’t happen appointment, some huge tattooed guy who’d just been jabbed was saying it hurt like a bitch.

My sister just has a sore arm (had hers yesterday).

Mine did not hurt at all when getting it. 4-5 hours later was pretty sore. Hurt like hell that night when I was trying to sleep. Pretty much back to normal after 24-36 hours.

The whole thing took about four hours! One hour to get there, waited for about 45, rest, back home. Second dose will be local, dammit!

The inconsequentiality of that aside, so far so good. A bit of soreness (heating pad ready to go; thanks, Amy), a shit-ton of THC, and just chilling. Hopefully sleep is uneventful.

    Poncier, how YOU doing?

Wow. Four hours. Sounds like an ordeal. I am glad you got it though. Hope your night is uneventful besides maybe a sore arm.

Just a bit of soreness in the arm, nothing else thus far (about 17 hours after injection).
And my experience was fast and smooth. Drive through vax site right in my town, in and out in 20 minutes which included 15 to sit and wait after the shot to make sure no reaction. Very efficient.

The Kaiser folks themselves were great (I’m not a member, just was able to secure an appointment through them) but fairly disorganized. Lots of people were complaining.

I anticipate it being much better in a month or so, for my second. And more availability!

Poncier, I got my first shot at a Doubletree hotel in Danvers. Once I got there, it was smooth sailing, but the route there looked like a paper clip on my navigation system. I thought for sure I was going to fuck up somewhere and be late.

Yeah that whole Ferncroft area is a weird configuration. I know a couple people at work who went to Danvers and said it was run very well.

Will do! So far I feel better than I did after the 1st dose, but I realize side effects can take 6-12 hours to appear.

    Just tired?
My first Pfizer I mostly just had a sore arm.  I was a little tired the next day, but I figured it was due to not sleeping well.
I might schedule myself a "light" work day following my second dose...just in case.

    Yup just tired
Was told that Moderna doesn't hit people over 50 as hard as younger people.

    That’s good to know!

My arm is still pretty achy and I’ve been exhausted since earlier this afternoon. Probably just me and my generally fucked health. Threw up too, but again, likely just a me thing.

    Grrrr.
