So his hope of getting 10 gop senators to approve of his version of voting bill went straight into the toilet. Whats his move now?

    and this one.....

Someone explain to me, again, why he and Sinema are in the dem party? And please don't tell me its because we need them to pass legislation. Sure, if you're naming a post office. Time for some consequences. Go indy, go repub because we're stripping you of your committee assignments and looking at EOs to limit what your states get out of the stimulus and other government handouts and largess. Moscow Mitchy Baby would have had them both burned at the stake by now. Neither of them can deliver shit.
For their own personal enrichment, look at Sinemas change in net worth since becoming a Senator.

    Go Indy, Joe, go.

A day after dismissing as “bullshit” a Mother Jones report that he was considering it, Manchin told reporters he had discussed the possibility of becoming an independent “if I’m an embarrassment to my Democrat colleagues, my caucus, the president being the leader of the Democratic Party.”

“I said, me being a moderate centrist Democrat, if that causes you a problem, let me know and I’d switch to be an independent. But I’d still be caucusing with Democrats,” Manchin said. “That’s the only thing that was ever discussed. No one accepted that.” He did not specify the colleagues by name.

It's interesting that people get tired of the republicans voting all together to block stuff, etc and then mad when someone from the Dems isn't lock-step.

Yea the hypocrisy on the both sides supporters is pretty hilarious. It’s ok when we, but not them. Like making fun of people for their appearance or what they wear.

I do wish the republicans had more individuals than party only people.  They have a few for some important issues....but not many at all.  Compromise is good and it's hard.

so do you think wearing a denim vest to preside over the senate is appropriate?

there has to be a basic level of decorum in the senate chamber.

i have had jobs where i made 40k a year and had to wear dress clothes, sports jackets and ties every day. the LEAST someone making 3 times that amount can do is business casual.

Point being…. If you didn’t dislike her or agreed with everything she did, you wouldn’t be making fun of her appearance.
public servants deserve to be ridiculed.
Deserve? Ok. Only if you disagree with them I guess.

It's interesting that people get tired of the republicans voting all together to block stuff, etc and then mad when someone from the Dems isn't lock-step.

Yea the hypocrisy on the both sides supporters is pretty hilarious. It’s ok when we, but not them. Like making fun of people for their appearance or what they wear.
so do you think wearing a denim vest to preside over the senate is appropriate?

there has to be a basic level of decorum in the senate chamber.

i have had jobs where i made 40k a year and had to wear dress clothes, sports jackets and ties every day. the LEAST someone making 3 times that amount can do is business casual.
I think worry about what they are wearing unless crazy (like a gas mask) is pretty old school thinking.
i guess i am old school. i thought these people are supposed to set some sort of an example. i mean dee snyder made a better effort when he testified about the pmrc.

I'd prefer a manner of dress that does not look like you are hitting your local dive bar after work looking for a hook up.

    thats just me.

I honestly don't care what she wears.  And wasn't she taking shit for the expensive/fashionable stuff she was wearing (or maybe it was a purse she was carrying) when she gave her big lib-owning thumbs down to a housing bill?

She's probably serving her only term. She'll get some big lucrative job from one of her donors. As for Manchin, he's either thinking about how difficult it is for a true Democrat to win in West Virginia. I don't "both sides" much these days, but people thinking too hard about re-elections makes sense.

Look, I don't like the idea of demanding that an entire party vote the same way. The current GOP is clearly serving the party and not the country. And this is a different time, now. We're hurling pretty quickly towards a one-party system. So back when "W" was considered polarizing and Joe Lieberman essentially became a Republican, well, whatever, we survived it. This is more frustrating because we essentially have 52 people that won't let very much happen because Let's Go Brandon.

On one hand, Manchin has do try to do his job as he feels is right. On the other, I wouldn't be surprised if someone has something on him.

Men telling females what to wear is never ok.  Making fun of females choices in dress is even worse.  This 2021.

i would say the exact same thing about joe biden giving a speech in a denim vest. it is the office and the fact that those people are representing us. dress like you belong there.

i guess i am alone is believing that in a professional capacity you need to dress professionally.

the only reason the right is not dunking on her attire is because she is doing their bidding at the moment.

i would expect a senator to at least put on a pair of khakis or something. jfc.

For their own personal enrichment, look at Sinemas change in net worth since becoming a Senator.

    and her 180 in policy
