I’ve read Space is the Place is one of the essentials. The Sutro Park is a fine pressing. The funny thing about this for me is that when I saw this, I was thinking I was getting another Sun Ra record I had read about called Space is the Place which I later picked up as a Blue Thumb/Verve/UMG reissue. The title similarities are confusing. THough both are great in their own way ("In Space is the Place" is the soundtrack" and "Space in the Place" is a different album), I find the latter to be a more interesting and pleasing.I'm with you on those Strut releases. I like them a lot! It's also cool that this label is from San Francisco and is named after a very nice park in the city:

That was a great show and opening for them was a band I had never heard of but instantly loved what they were doing, The Alarm. A double knock out concert! If you haven't heard it, check out the Alarm's debut self-titled EP, a most excellent recording!
