I gotta ask: Are the replacement shows hosted by all straight Christian white males?
remains to be seen I suppose. Haven't heard about what shows and who the hosts would be.
suppose the good thing here is the number of other platforms available via podcast/video on whats now the independent media sources. these folks and others already out in the private world maintain their contacts for expertise in a given field of interest. etc....
so its not like we wont see these folks again.
Advertisers will see the brunt of this....
Ok, I gotcha! 🙌

MSNBC has undergone a significant programming shakeup, affecting the shows hosted by Joy Reid, Jonathan Capehart, Ayman Mohyeldin, and Katie Phang. Here’s who will be replacing them or taking over their time slots based on the network’s recent announcements:
Joy Reid: Joy Reid’s 7 p.m. ET weekday show, "The ReidOut," has been canceled, and she is exiting the network entirely. Replacing her in the 7 p.m. slot will be the trio of Symone Sanders-Townsend, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez, who are moving from their current weekend show, "The Weekend," to host a new weeknight program airing Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET, with a two-hour block on Mondays.
Jonathan Capehart: Jonathan Capehart’s weekend show, which aired at 6 p.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays, has been canceled. However, he is not leaving MSNBC. Instead, he will co-host a new morning edition of "The Weekend," airing Saturdays and Sundays at 7 a.m. ET, alongside two yet-to-be-announced co-hosts. This effectively replaces his solo weekend slot with a new ensemble format, though no direct replacement for his specific show has been named beyond this shift.
Ayman Mohyeldin: Ayman Mohyeldin’s weekend program, "Ayman Mohyeldin Reports" (also referred to simply as "Ayman"), which aired at 7 p.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays, will end with its final episode on April 20, 2025. Like Capehart, Mohyeldin remains with MSNBC and will co-anchor a new evening edition of "The Weekend," airing Saturdays and Sundays at 6 p.m. ET, with a different group of yet-to-be-named co-hosts. This new show takes over his previous time slot but in a panel format rather than a solo-hosted program.
Katie Phang: Katie Phang’s weekend show, "The Katie Phang Show," which aired on Saturdays, is also being discontinued as MSNBC sunsets its Miami production operations. Phang will stay with the network as a legal correspondent but will no longer have a dedicated show. Her specific time slot isn’t being directly replaced by a new host; instead, the weekend lineup is being restructured. For instance, Ali Velshi’s existing weekend program, "Velshi," will expand from two to three hours (10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays), absorbing some of the weekend programming space.
In summary, Joy Reid’s slot is being filled by the "Weekend" trio moving to weeknights, while Capehart and Mohyeldin are transitioning to new ensemble versions of "The Weekend" on weekends, effectively replacing their own solo shows with these new formats. Katie Phang’s show is ending without a direct replacement, as the network shifts focus to other weekend programming like Velshi’s expanded hours. Additional co-hosts for the new "Weekend" editions are still to be announced, so the full lineup remains partially TBD.
That show with Steele will catch I believe. He pulls no punches on the fuckery wihile remaining in the Republican Party, with the view of fuck them they arent chasing me out.

The board of Virginia Military Institute has voted to remove Major General Cedric Wins, the college’s first Black superintendent, following conservative complaints that he removed the statue of Confederate General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson and increased campus diversity. The "Unblackening" of America Continues.
