    Then as usual we’ll put on ABC/NBC and watch music acts while trying to figure out how they got famous.

    No one, including restaurants and bars, is allowed to sell alcohol in BC after 8pm that night in hopes of curbing spread of Covid-19.

    We'll be in (what else is new?), getting baked, having a good meal, and probably out before midnight - I certainly don't need to be awake to tell 2020 to fuck itself.

    Wife, son, and myself.  At the beach not far from home.  Had place professionally cleaned day prior and then we cleaned again when we got here.  Just staying in and looking at the beach....enjoying the family time and good food and drink we brought with us.

    Aside from a few things this is better than normal.  


    Oh, and fuck 2020 in it's stinkhole.

    My daughter is a surgical nurse who is on duty tonight and her husband is an Illinois State trooper who has to work tonight, so we will be watching our 13 month old grandson! Party on Wayne!!

    Wife & I are going to cook up some kick ass steak tips & I'm picking up some good beers on the way home from one of the local brewers... it's going to be a nice (quiet) way to kick this year to the curb. 

    I'm not one to ever use the phrase "It can't get any worse"...  it can always get worse, but I'm choosing optimism over pessimism for 2021. 

    IDK what the hell is going to happen to the virus or anything else, but we're only a few months away from the weather turning where we can start getting back outside & actually see & spend time with friends & family, so I'll be quietly celebrating every day that brings us closer to spring. 

    Happy New Years, folks, I hope it's safe & happy for everyone.

    Millions of people are about to realize the absolute best place to ever spend New Years is at home alone with the family. Been doing it for years and wouldn’t have it any other way. Good food, good laughs and no let downs.

    We always do a party with family (both sides) and close friends New Year’s Eve. Always lots of fun. Then we host a huge party for the mummers (Philly thing) on New Year’s Day. Has been at least a dozen or so years now. Needless to say, it’s a bummer this year, especially considering the wife’s side went through a death earlier this month.

    Going to try to make it as nice as possible for the wife with a steak dinner and nice drinks, but not going to be the same and definitely rough for her.

    Here’s to 20 fucking 21 being better

    Going over for a dinner with two friends. They did not want to watch the live stream of the KISS concert. 

    Was suppose to be one more couple, but one of them felt a bit sick so stayed home.

    I am a very lucky man when it comes to food. Broth and high quality noodles is the answer to your question.  At midnight tonight, if I make it, will be soba with duck.  Kamo nanban.
