I'm embarrassed now. Oceans was a small white whale for me for a long time. Lollapalooza was so long ago. Turns out it was the very first PJ song I'd ever heard live.
Don't be embarrassed. If we don't remember hearing a song does it really matter that we did close to 30 years ago? I haven't heard Garden since 1994 and I am always hoping it turns up on a setlist for that reason.
Was played at Hartford 2006, Boston 2, 5/25/06, Hartford in 2008 and Mansfield 2, 6/30/08. Did you not attend any of those 4?

Not a one. But Mansfield 2 in 2008 was the last New England show I missed.

It was played at MSG in 13 I believe
They did Brooklyn 2013, but Garden was played MSG 2008 and 2016. Shocked they haven’t played it every time they played there
Hi, I host a Pearl Jam Podcast. We go back to some of the classic shows in their history and break down the entire setlist front to back. From historic perspective, to performances, to setlist construction, to fan stories. We do our best to capture the magic that is their live act and help you relive those memories, or if you weren't there, maybe turn you on to a show you've never heard before.

I'll never forget this show and I wasn't even there. I was eleven years old and read about it in the paper. I wanted to go so bad. I asked my dad and he said, "lets wait until they have more albums out" and I to this day never let him forget it. In his defense, he made up for it a few years later, which I will get to in a separate post on this thread.
After my dad wouldn't take me to see them in Portland in 93 because we should "wait until they have more albums out", he made up for it by pulling me out of school at lunch time, drove us up to Seattle from the Portland area, stood in the long ass line outside Key Arena, watched the show with me and drove us back that night. When the opening notes of Long Road kicked in, my knees almost gave out. My heart was racing. It's to this day the most incredible live show moment for me because I can't say I've ever been as excited to see a band since.
Interstellar Overdrive into Corduroy. Noblesville, IN 2000 “The waiting drove me mad” indeed after my plans fell through for Alpine Valley and St. Louis in 98, so when they kicked into it, I remember thinking what a perfect first line for my first show and the wait was so worth it.
No time to be void or save up on life, you gotta spend it all.

that reminds me of the first song of my second show...fargo 2003....2 months shy of the 10 year anniversary of my first show.....lights out......ed starts into Arc. I start to weep and feel weak. My wife's friend, who is also a big PJ fan, wraps her arm around me. when i found out later how many times they played Arc on that tour and the significance of it..... it was chilling.....

... I can only describe hearing those soaring vocals for the first time as a religious experience.
