Four full years of the POOTWH dismantling the functions of a government based on incompetence, whims, Steve-O, Q-Theories, government is evil and needs to be drowned in the bathtub and people actually think vaccine delivery and covid response should have rolled out better on President Biden's first day, never mind, 16th day? I don't know what's worse. Sheesh.
Did I expect Biden to roll out these types of action on day 1 ... yup. I’m not certain why you feel the need to compare to Trump.
As far as evictions and utilities go, are the rental property owners going to get any extra $? If not, they should if they are having to keep non-paying renters housed, right?
I haven't heard that they are. I don't agree with the non eviction order. Not every landlord is a multimillionaire with tons of extra cash. Many people rely on their 1 or 2 rental properties as income. Would it be a great thing for them to do to not evict someone? Yes of course, but that shouldn't be something they are forced to do, especially if it creates a burden on them. Its like requiring a struggling restaurant to serve food for free to the homeless on weekends just because there's a homeless problem.

Unrealistic expectations on your part then or a lack of understanding of the amount of damage caused by POOTWH to the agencies responsible for executing policies and actions of an incoming administration, particularly when the outgoing administration didn’t cooperate with a transition and did everything they could to make it worse. Same, same, I get it.

Do you ever read bro? The only thing the same is your tired ass act.
I said it was terrific news and I expect him to announce these types of measures on Day 1.
Please try and read as much as you work on coming up with dumb nicknames and acronyms. You are creating an argument when none exists...shocking.
HIAAH
You said “roll out,” not “announce.” “Roll out” implies implement. “Announce” implies intention. Do you even read your own posts? Then you asked why I compared it to POOTWH. That should be obvious but I’m shocked, I tell you. Try saying what you mean and mean what you say. For once. Think before you type and others might understand you or continue to get your knickers in a bunch, bro. Have a great Friday!
PS: your acronym was so creative that it took me less than a second to figure it out but I’m not the flagging type, unlike some.
Like I already said. I think it’s terrific. And I just expected him to announce this type of plan on Day1 not sure what is hard about that to understand.

2 weeks. Someone actually working and doing the job. Let’s all keep in mind that no matter if you disagree with policy here, it’s a million times better to have someone at the wheel again.
my biggest positives are the covid work. Lots left to do because the vaccine process is not good right now. It’s not awful but it’s not good. And making it state to state makes everything worse when some 35 year old is getting it in one place while a 73 year old that will most likely die if they get covid still can’t get it others.
Biggest negative is the covid. . The covid $ package. Some good, some strange (why minimum wage included?), and some debatably wasted $. But again, glad to be discussing what’s not great about what we are doing Vs not doing anything.
There will be plenty I disagree with about Joe and his work. I still think he has some personal flaws which in a normal year might have kept me from voting for him. But I’m glad he is doing the job. I don’t expect him to be perfect, but if he does the best we can do re:covid, well, then he is being effective.

I’m 99% sure the min wage is off the table. First, the parliamentarian will likely disallow it from going through reconciliation. Second, Manchin has indicated he won’t support. That means an R would have to support. Doubtful.

IMO it just belongs in a different discussion.
I’m pretty sure I heard Joe on an interview...being aired Sunday but they played teasers...say he knew he wasn’t get it through.

I agree it doesn’t belong in the COVID relief bill. Of course this means it will never happen, which is unfortunate. I support more of an indexed min wage, rather than 15 across the board, but the current is far too low.

Yes an indexed one makes too much sense to happen.

Totally agree. It's great to have a POTUS like Biden who takes the job seriously. He hit the ground running and is doing a fine job so far. Yes, there will be things we disagree on, but like you say, that's normal. And I like it that he's focusing some of the work on normalizing foreign policy again.
All in all, it feels like we are already living in more normal times. And with Biden's hard work on the virus, we might see much more positive movement this year.

would guess half of Bidens are rescinding fucksticks orders, no?
Yes. I wouldn't get hung up on the pace. Let's see where we sit in six months, not two weeks.
Oh I’m sure I know that’s part of it. But that’s the problem. Not using congress and actually creating laws. It’s the trend the presidency has been moving in. It’s not a good one.
