This is part of the problem with the dem base. They expect change to happen overnight. That is not the way things work...especially for a bill like this that will take years for people to actually see the results. Getting this bipartisan bill done is a HUGE accomplishment.
I signed the infrastructure bill doesn't get votes if people don't see the work getting done. I know for some Yellow Dogs on here the he's not Trump or whatever is enough, but for most people spending that kind of money and not seeing results is a big deal. In 2-3 years when there is proof that this money is going to infrastructure I will celebrate and say Biden got it done.
Some people will just never be satisfied I guess.
By your reasoning literally nothing a president does should be celebrated in real time. Illogical. But go ahead man, get excited in 2025. lolbenjs said:static111 said:The Juggler said:static111 said:The Juggler said:static111 said:The Juggler said:static111 said:The Juggler said:brianlux said:Awesome, thanks Kat.President Biden signs infrastructure bill!

Some of us are excited and think it is a big deal to have our roads and bridges finally get repaired. Literally decades overdue. We're also rational people who recognize it takes a while for those things to be completed.Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -

Real talk. If the getting is good for the worker now and all of these lower paying jobs are unfulfilled, should we open up the flood gates to new immigrants to take them or hold steady and see if the ship corrects itself?0 -

Real talk. If the getting is good for the worker now and all of these lower paying jobs are unfulfilled, should we open up the flood gates to new immigrants to take them or hold steady and see if the ship corrects itself?immigration reform is critical.increase the numbers allowed in by policy/law and include those here already. both asylum seekers and those who have overstayed their visas.straight border jumpers are already working or are caught and in process for deportation.

This is what bugs me about the unemployment discussion. How much unemployment is the 'right' amount?
Unemployment comes in multiple forms: cyclical, structural, and frictional. And it's not necessarily 'good' or 'bad'.
There's many ways that unemployment can be good.
For example, if people can afford to take time off to find a job they like more.
Or if technology replaces workers to make a business more efficient (is this good or bad?).
Or if competition causes one company to succeed, while another company fails and has to lay off it's staff (good or bad?)
