I’ve done a bunch of reading… and perhaps I am over-complicating this, but can Anyone with travel experience or lives in London tell me whether I should get an Oyster card or a Travelcard?

I am landing at Gatwick and neither one will do me any good to travel to and fro the airport.  I will be in London for 5 nights total and plan on touring around the city, more than likely Zone 1&2, although I will go anywhere to find a fantastic record store. Thanks in advance for any advice 👍
A London resident will know better but I'm pretty sure you can just tap in and out with contacless bank card and there is a daily cap same as oyster
    Yes that's correct

Wonder if the Pixies will have recovered from covid in time for Friday. Be a bummer if they have to pull put.

For sure, but there appear to be some economic advantages to the Oyster card or travelcard vs, using your bank or credit card. I believe trips get cheaper throughout each day with an Oyster card or something and the travelcard is unlimited trips but might only be beneficial if you stay a full week.

Does anybody know if you're likely to be able to pick up your 10C wristbands at the gate without actually going in, then come back later?

The BST website says once you're in you're in - I'm hoping we don't need to go all the way inside to the actual 10C area to pick up the wrist bands and then be stuck inside, because I'm not bothered about seeing the first few bands.

Can't download the BST app to my phone so I am glad you can get in with the AXS app. However I have no idea where the Ten Club early entry is located. Can someone post a map of the site for the PJ shows.

So 10C entrance is the north entrance? you can just get in earlier?
The west entrance has “primary” access too, which seems to go into the 10C area. It’ll be whether they only want to use that as the  accessibility/summer garden entrance I guess.
The stewards are usually pretty good at advising where you need to go though 👍🏻
And south entrance has a 'primary' access too.

I believe you can enter any time and get a 10c wristband. No need to go early and come back again

    @1ThoughtKnown
If you tap your bank card, that is capped and gets cheaper throughout the day, there are posters at tube stations which tell you how much the cap is depending on what time you take the tube.  You could compare that to a weekly (zones 1 to 2) travel card.

You could just leave your bags at the hotel and check in after the gig?

other than the tube and bus, what is the best ways to get around London? The ride share sites I have looked at seem to have a lot of bad reviews. I have an Uber app that I use in the States, but Uber doesn’t seem really prominent there. How is Bolt?

Tube is super easy IMO unless you are directionally challenged and takes apple pay / contactless cards.

There’s Uber in London.  Mostly it’s not necessary to use anything but the underground and a little walking, unless someone has a mobility issue.

We plan on taking the Tube while we are there but the place we are staying is about a 20 minute walk from a tube station and we are going to have 2 big suitcases. I was going to take a ride share when we are lugging around the suitcases.
