In case you haven’t been paying attention, repubs are for lynching white dudes.

Maybe. I don’t understand peoples obsession with cash though.

im electronic only. I don’t even have a debit card. If someone robs my CC, I lose it, my house burns down with it inside, I don’t care. It’s not my money and I’m not liable. I can insure stuff, not cash. People who carry a credit limits worth of cash around and that money is gone and it’s yours

I totally get why the under banked population deals in cash. Why others do it I never understand
There are some areas of the world where cash is king.

When the lights go out, which has happened and the CC machines aren't working and you need emergency gas or food but the machines aren't working, what's your solution?

Cash is power and the gov't not being able to seize your every asset because it's online is worth something to me.
If it gets to that point cash won’t matter either.
Exactly. Except if you wander in to Mayberry and Gomer is taking cash from his non-computer operated till from 1950 and the single pump that's not completely digital.

If you want gas or cash for if that happens, you should probably keep it in your bunker with your guns, generator and Twinkies.
If you're ok w your every spending habit tracked, every venmo or PP transaction scrutinized then I do not have anything else to offer and everyone just go with the flow then.

Went to 2 baseball games at different parks and they both are "cashless".
with new technology comes with new ways to defraud.

This same mentality would need to apply to your phone, computer, car and anything else electronic these days. Unless you've somehow found a way to live without any technology from the past 20 years, you can be tracked numerous ways.

Don't forget your Covid 'vaccine'.  That's where most of your data is originating.
You guys never went on vacation and tipped cash and noticed a different reaction then on the card?

Do you venmo your garbage man and postal worker at Christmas?

I don't understand your question?  Are you asking if servers prefer cash tips rather than credit?  Of course they do.  There's no paper trail for taxes.
Cash everyone of them will choose cash!

I'm just making a case for cash.  I am not a fan of an all digital currency or a wifi based one rather.

I can't say I ever care to carry cash again. It's great carrying everything I need in a tiny metal card holder that fits in my pocket nicely. The days of a billfold are over. How many people are the victim of armed robbery these days, besides from "apple picking"? Give me your wallet or purse doesn't really mean much these days. I know I've probably mentioned this ad nauseam here, but working at a college we still get some of these younger students carrying wads of cash around. One guy brought over $1200 with him once because it was for a wedding and it blew away in the parking lot without him knowing. Thankfully another student found it and actually turned it in and we were able to get it back to the owner. The only time cash really applies is if I am making a private purchase at a garage or yard sale. I bought a used mountain bike last year and I sent the seller the payment via PayPal on the spot. I don't even have checks at this point. I can send checks from my bank at no cost if I need to pay someone that way. Anyway, thread derailed enough I guess.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I always have a few hundred in cash on me.  No real purpose other than 'just in case'.  I also need it for golfing rounds gone bad.

I guess he forgot about the patriot act,  tsa screenings,  and the myriad of other security checks that fundamentally curtailed individual rights.  Sort of how background checks,  red flag laws,  etc would do.

Has this asshole flown commercial lately? Good fucking lord. Another sign the republic is close to toppling. I’d like to see him stand by the cockpit door during a flight.

didn't ban airplanes. But I have to take off my belt and hold up my fucking pants before walking into a time machine just to get on the plane. right after I dumped the water out of my Yeti.

The inaction & hypocrisy from the GOP make sense once you accept that they don't care about the school shootings. They have no interest in stopping them. They are good for gun sales, therefore good for their bottom line.

That they further destabilize the country is an added bonus for the party of law & order, family values & backing the blue.
