If PJ played a show like this, would it work?

Totally random idea, but just curious if you guys think it would work.
Let's say PJ decided they wanted to put on the craziest Pearl Jam show ever. They wanted it to be a fan club only show -- but with the guarantee that any 10-clubber who wants to go will have a spot (they each get to bring a date, of course).
So they choose a location somewhere in the middle of the country (say, Kansas -- sorry international people, you'd have to travel for this one!) and a venue large enough to hold a shitload of people (say, a football stadium).
They announce that they would hold a poll on their website of what songs their fans want them to play. The top 30-35 songs that we vote for will comprise the setlist (PJ gets to choose the order, of course).
They sell tickets through their fan club only, since this is technically a private show.
Now...it's a stretch, I know...but hypothetically, how many people do you think would attend this show? And would it without question be the greatest show (and party) of all time?

You're right. A huge field, similar to the Polo Grounds in Indio (where Coachella takes place), would be ideal.
It would be crazy dealing with general admission for a show like that, though.

I like to think the crowd at this show would be identical to the crowd during the last scene of the book... lol.

There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......
this whole plan is quite possible all we need now is a someone trustworthy to handle the money collecting... (or some bank account where we could collect the money - and a group of trusted people would be responisble for the account and the use of money)
and the amount could be like 20 bucks.

Stone, Eddie, Jeff, Mike, Matt...and all those attached to the band...if you read these pages...this is a great idea!
Seriously, I reckon something like this would totally change rock and roll!
thats not too hard... Im flying this monday to NYC.. And Im sure most of the die hard fans and maybe some others would love this idea too.. and would be willing to participate.
Eddie, Stone, Mike, Jeff, Matt.. Boom.. anyone-- if you're lurking around here... lets do this!

If Zack got to meet the band, he could propose the idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

because all the PJ fans all around the world could get together and party . and I think the event could take place in Europe just as well, the concert place would be much cheaper I believe, and the overall atmosphere would be a lot more.. relaxed Maybe in Netherlands?.. or Denmark?

I'm in. Where do I sign?
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
Just let me know where and when, and i'm there!
Would possibly be the best party on earth for any PJ fan/10c member... My vote goes to Better Man, 1/2 Full and Given to Fly being played
Would they do a cover or anything off Into The Wild, or is it exclusively PJ material only?
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I think there could be a lot of different stuff, covers too! Maybe we could get the band stay for 2-3 days, if we get enough people, so it would be like a large scale PJ based bonnaroo of our own.. But the only band would of course be PJ, and if they want, they could have some special guests

Phish used to do 2-day festivals. They'd draw tens of thousands of people who would drive to these remots fields/abandoned bases and camp out for a long weekend. I think estimates put attendance at some of them at 80-100,000. I'd kill to see PJ do that.

yeah. it would be a dream come true for us. but we can't just dream!!? we have to make it happen! right? action people, action!!
Won't let the darkness swallow me.
And it should be in europe. A general admission show, where 10C numbers don't matter. Bring the people together!
way to go...
Im sure a lot of us would be willing to participate in this, its not impossible.

Of course, PJ could send a portion of the proceeds to a special, needy charity.
