Interesting perspective. That is definitely my favorite stretch in the song also, maybe of the whole album...

I almost had my sparkling water come through my nose when I read this comment.  :)

I love this part so much, probably my favorite part of the album.  I really think it will translate well in person (someday), as it has that live feel for me.

Haha! Yeah, that really is the worst song in their recording history. I wonder if they are aware of that. Like, couldn't someone in their camp (band member, producer, guitar tech, roadie) said something? "Hey guys, maybe you want to shelve that one? I'm not sure it's your best work."
"Darkness comes in waves, tell me, why invite it to stay?"
  • the new cd is full of great stuff and especially the first 4 songs for me. super super happy about it ALL

It’s hard to pick a best of PJ in any category for me BUT I understand how you feel. That whole song is just mind blowing. So thankful to have quality music to get lost in during this crazy time. Very excited to learn all of our new parts for Gigaton. See you all soon!!!!!

I’m the opposite. The last two minutes are what I like the least in DOTC. I thought they could have trimmed it down.

Absolutely agree. I remember being excited to hear them on Fallon with no clue what song they were gonna play and seriously didn’t even finish watching. Just not my jam. Thankfully they pressed on with LB

Seriously, think of all the songs shelved from Ten:
    YL
    Betterman
    Wash
    Footsteps
    Alone
    Just a Girl
    Brother
    etc.

then they not only release, but go on live tv playing Ole!

But Betterman wasn't sheved from Ten. It wasn't even played to the rest of the band until they were making Vs., I thought. I'm sure Eddie probably wasn't even considering using songs from a previous band when he was starting to make his first record with the new group he joined.
