    Awesome, congrats!

Beano, look forward to hearing about the new shoes and how you like them

Got a 3D Gait Analysis done last week.  Put sensors all over me like I was making a movie or video game.  Very interesting and have lots to work on.  Mixing in wome of the things now but once past the Philly Marathon next month will really dive in.
Where did you have the 3D gait analysis done?    It sounds so much better than the standard “have someone watch me on the treadmill”.

    It is.
    Omega Project.
You can catch their founder on all sorts of running pods.  (Dr Doug Adams)  Worth listening to if you are interested.

Currently down and out with a stomach bug. Let's hope I can recover and get my energy back by Sunday...but it's not ideal prep 😂

That sounds awesome. Hopefully it is helpful.

I have an appointment with a Sports Medicine Dr on Thursday, hopefully they can tell me what is going on with my hip/pelvis. I need to get back to running!!!
Good luck with you appointment. I hope whatever it is can be treated and you can get back out there.

Been a bit - got back from Austin, started running again, got Covid. Lasted only a few days and was very mild - lucky break for me but still have this damn cough from the beginning of September slowing me down. Have run a few times but thought that was good enough to sign up for a 10K next week! Last time I ran that far was August 26th, but at least I know I can do it. Gonna just enjoy the experience of it and not worry about time. At least that's what I'm telling myself  :)

It was great meeting you briefly in Austin. It was so much fun there. I came back from Austin with Covid. I started sneezing at the airport on the way home. Like yours it was really mild. I tested negative again after 5 days and only had mild cold symptoms. Sorry, you are still coughing. I only ended up doing two runs in September. Just getting back into it. Only sticking with my 4 mile runs for now. Good luck with the 10K.

    How are you recovering, @beano.79?

Hope everyone else continues recovery, where needed.

    19 miles this morning.
    Labored.
Thinking I may need to focus on just finishing vs goal time.
    Need to sleep!

Hmmm I'm not sure, I feel ok. Had a 2 mile shake out today... Felt rusty but ok I think. There's only one way to find out and that's go for it 😬

Don't stress about your long run feeling rough, it's no reflection on what race day can be if your fully tapered and recovered. 2 goals is always a wise idea though 😁

I would not worry about the labored 19 miler.  You are probably in the most difficult, highest volume part of your training.

After you taper in a few weeks, you will better than ever on race day.

Not overly concerned....I remember running 22, 23, 24, 25 -- and feeling good (aside from knees) as I was training for 50k.  Been a few years since going this distance.

I felt OK today, just had that nagging "you should just walk" voice for a number of miles

Sometimes it is harder to tell that voice to fuck off than other times,as I'm sure you know.

Wow!  Coming off a sickness and got within 12 seconds.  That is awesome, man.
Don't think about the spots where the 12 could have been made up, think of all the spots you hammered through to get within 12 seconds.

Don't worry, my quads are telling there was nowhere I could make up the 12 seconds. I pushed hard. I averaged 6:49 pace, course was a little over at 13.22 miles. I'm happy. And it's a 2 min PB
