I’m kind of sorry that I brought this up now. Although I’m sure someone else probably would have.

    It’s a new day, folks.

You guys really harp on things for a while, don’t you?

In the end, most of us will come to a conclusion that fits our own personal perception of the Speaker.

None of us were there. And I’m not taking the word of Fox News, Nancy Pelosi, her hairstylist, or a jaded small business owner as anything even approaching the truth.

Bigger fish to fry. This, to me, reaches the level of mildly amusing tidbit. If it reaches any further for anyone, in my opinion, that person’s priorities are all kinds of fucked up.
Fuck my priorities; I’m all sorts of fucked up

Well, a year ago my response would have been "a lot of the people in the airports are assholes." Now, I'm guessing some will be even worse, but maybe others will be calmer given the reduced crowds and the ability to put their silly little problems ("I can't bring this enormous suitcase on the plane with me!?!?") on the back burner.

friends of ours from BC have travelled back and forth to winnipeg, and the planes have been pretty empty, as were the airports. no issues they've reported with anyone refusing to wear masks or the like.

it might actually be a more pleasurable experience than before.

Fuck yeah. There no doubt about that.  Airports and flights were just getting more crowded, more agitated, etc. before the pandemic.

I haven;t traveled but know people who did.  Unsure of now, but not that long ago, airports were empty and so were planes.  And it seemed everyone was complying.

I have traveled by plane, and the airports in the US were a disaster - jam packed with people congregating and very few wearing masks. The flights were okay, in that they weren’t all that full, but if people took off their masks during the flight, the flight attendants didn’t seem to do anything.

When was this?  This is very different than the many things that have been shared with me.  I don't doubt it as where you are flying from-to and when, etc all play a part.  But I'm a little surprised to hear of such "jam packed" and "very few mask".  That's not good. What airports were these?

I haven't been to an airport since like January 3rd so I have no idea.  I have a hard time imagining "jam packed" myself.  I attend a meeting once a month that includes the MSP airport giving a few updates and while air travel has been ticking back upward, it's not where it was a year ago...I have  always imagined a less crowded airport.  But obviously, I defer to those with actual experience.

"Very few masks."  That doesn't surprise me even a little.

Right around the time I flew through Dallas-FW, I read something about how it was the busiest airport in the world at that point (at least busiest in the US, but I think it was the world). The bulk of US air traffic was being funneled through it. Had I known, I would definitely have avoided it, but I had very few flight options. Options are still limited.

I know very little about the airline industry, but my impression, based on what I've read and experienced, is that the airlines have markedly cut flights/routes, and consolidated to run their connections through far fewer airports. So, travel down a lot overall, but the airports they are using can still be busy at times. The flight routing I had was one I've never seen before, and would be happy to never do again.

That makes sense. Kinda like how if you go to a grocery store at "off hours" you're still going to wait in a long line since only one or two are open.  It sucks because it pushes us all together but I am sure the airlines are taking a bath right now.

So I envision the less "hub" airports being less busy at the expensive of the hubs being madhouses.

Delta and American have both announced massive cuts starting this month and next.  Air travel won't return until at least mid next year.

Antifa, Inc is in the market as they're expanding their footprint into white America. I think they'll need a bigger fleet.
