To clarify my buddy never fully paid for his ticket but didn’t get a refund for the partial amount he paid.  His situation isn’t really important tho, it’s pretty much his fault for not getting the refund and I’m only adding “pretty much” cause he’s a friend lol.  I only wanted to hear what you guys had to say about the contract yet to be signed.  Like I know it’s bullshit but still was hoping someone with more knowledge could confirm that.

Pearl Jam has announced they’ll be there.  And I’m pretty sure their management knows how to vet festivals to make sure all the details have been covered.  I think we’ll be okay.

I would say that these people are kicking rocks because they're pissed they done fucked up. And maybe their friend is indeed the mayor of Asbury Park. And maybe that friend spoke sweet nothings in their ears to make them feel better.

And at best, if there really is a legit issue here - especially where there may be more than these two knuckleheads in play - it is still way less than enough to be considered as a rampant issue. And maybe - albeit considering the lack of details on their part - if there's a legit issue here I'm sure they'd have some kind of course of action, whether with customer service or a lawyer. Otherwise, I don't see some fantastical idea that this show is being help up because of a mayor of a shore town whom I'm sure desperately will take the draw in tourist income and taxes captured in the month of September coming out of global pandemic. On a semi-related note - this is why Facebook is trash.

I almost skipped Fenway N2 in 2018 and it turned out to be their last show for three years.

I sold my tickets to see Chris Cornell in 2015 because it was a Wednesday and there would be other chances. (There weren't.)
Skipped REM in 2008 after Accelerate for the same reasons....next tour I'll see em....although with Chris, that one is tough :(
I skipped seeing REM in 1999… my buddy and I had tickets and we just blew it off thinking we’d see them down the road.  Never got around to seeing them.
o yeah - the having tickets part is rough :/
    Way rough… 🤦🏻‍♂️

I had a ticket for Beastie Boys & Rage Against The Machine (with opener Busta Rhymes!) back in 2000. Beasties were on the back end of Hello Nasty & the Sounds of Science, and Rage was on the heels of Battle of L.A. & the covers album.
They postponed the tour, and refunds were offered, but I kept my ticket because they were 2 of my favorite acts.
Rage would break up soon after. They haven't made new material as RATM since.
I still have the un-redeemed ticket.
The lone ray of sunshine, is I got to see the Beasties in Tampa in '04.
Late to the show, but when me & my date got to our nosebleed seats, they popped out 2 aisles away from us & busted out "Intergalactic"

    Not SHN but encouraging:

A person briefed on plans for the show told the New York Times that Patti Smith is expected to join Springsteen for a duet.

This is for the big central park concert.

Patti Smith and Springsteen duet on Because The Night would be actually pretty awesome but I don't see what that has to do with SHN since neither one of them are on the bill

I have an extra GA+ for SHN. Its a two day pass that comes w/perks like access to a bar, real toilets etc.
Looking to trade for any lower bowl (or GA) MSG or Baltimore.

My mistake. Indeed she is. My apologies to the OP for my snarkiness. I stand by my wish for a Because The Night duet at SHN, second to my wish for a Bruce appearance during Pearl Jam's set.

Probably more likely to get a Danny Clinch harmonica solo during a Pearl Jam song and a Bruce appearance during Patti Sciafla's set. But we can dream!

All good. I would love to see Because the Night with Patti and Bruce or perhaps a people have the power grand finale with PJ, Bruce, Patti x2, Danny and who knows.  There is always hype about special guests and it almost never plays out, but it is fun to speculate!

but Goddamn what a lineup LOL
As noted, I ended up catching the Beasties thank God. I wasn't at a Busta show, but I was at Pleasure Island at Disney World the night that they changed the drinking policy because of how rowdy it got.
I actually worked at Hard Rock Live in the year 2000 & saw the Return to Saturn tour, so that covers No Doubt. I caught at the drive-in in passing at a Warped Tour. So, that just leaves Rage!🤞
