it's entirely possible this whole thing was planned from the get go. He knew what info was coming out, Trump gave him the nom as a reason to resign, and now Gaetz, he hopes, will avoid the report from coming out.
This is exactly what my wife said when he resigned. Said he won't get confirmed, he and trump have to know it, so it's their way of getting rid of him.
Getting rid of him? Now what does he do next speaking engagements?
What makes you think he'll do anything? He resigned from his previous job and withdrew himself from consideration for the next one. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be in the light right now.
My guess is he'll get a spot that doesn't require confirmation.
I think he wants all investigations to just go away, so he won't want any attention on him. Which would include a non-confirmation appointment.

I just can't believe he won re-election in the first place. What the hell is wrong with that district he lives in? Even the creepy guy from Alabama or wherever it was years ago, couldn't get elected after the news of his proclivity for youthful encounters.

solid red district with no primary challenger. are they voting D?
same for Oh-4 and Gym Jordan. Schmuck has sponsored zero legislation in his entire time in congress. barking dog is all he is and has no gop challengers.

Same as Adam Schiff in Cal. Makes absolutely no sense how people elect same people over and over. Shouldn’t be a career.

I'm trying to figure out the line you're trying to connect here. Is it because Schiff was a part of the Russian election interference investigation? I don't see how that's the same as being a sexual predator and all around garbage human being. You can disagree with Schiff's politics, but I don't know of any criminal allegations against him.

I also disagree that being a politician shouldn't be a career. It should have some parameters for longevity, but also no one is forcing the voters to elect them so it's on that district or state to choose another representative. I just am baffled sometimes by the overall shitty people who get elected, but now with Trump winning 2x, I guess it makes sense that more of these scuzzy Senators and Reps. keep winning. In the past, they would have resigned and been condemned by both parties. We are seeing that character doesn't really matter that much anymore and the effects of these people being elevated to positions of power will be something that haunts us when the next generation of kids move in to adulthood. The examples of what it means to be a leader, whether in private or public service, is not a good precedent. I think any of us with kids in youth sports already see that impact.

He literally lied and said he had 100% concrete evidence that Trump colluded with Russia which we all know was a hoax based on the investigation. How much taxpayer money and time was spent with him knowing he was lying just because he and his party were Trump haters?

Then you got the other guy Swalwell banging a Chinese spy, the House does an ethics investigation and takes no action.

With Gaetz I already posted I didn’t think he was a good choice and wouldn’t get confirmed, but also the DOJ dropped charges. (I know it’s a big fetish here)

Now you're just making up stuff and exaggerating. The Schiff rift is all politically motivated. He didn't lie, but he may have been over confident in his statements. There is plenty of gray area in that whole situation to avoid a damning condemnation of provable crimes. Swalwell never had sex with Fang and once notified of her possible motives, cut ties and cooperated with the investigation. You know what Swalwell and Schiff do have in common, leading investigations and impeachment proceedings about Trump, which Trump then used as a reason to weaponize the DOJ to seize private data from both of them. It's always ironic that the thing Trump complains about or promises to thwart are the exact same things he does himself.

Also, not a fetish to be against sexual predators, that would be normal. I've been around long enough to know that no conviction does not equate to no guilt or wrongdoing, especially when you have credible victims/witnesses.

Care to retract and post a correction to your earlier statement? Is this what 100% concrete evidence reads like to you?

Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday there is "plenty of evidence of collusion or conspiracy in plain sight" regarding the Trump campaign and Russia. But he admitted that doesn't mean "there's proof beyond a reasonable doubt of a criminal conspiracy," saying it would be up to special counsel Robert Mueller to potentially make that case.

I just can't believe he won re-election in the first place. What the hell is wrong with that district he lives in? Even the creepy guy from Alabama or wherever it was years ago, couldn't get elected after the news of his proclivity for youthful encounters.

(I know it’s a big fetish here)
what is your evidence of that?

And "we all" don't know that it was a hoax. trump famously said on live TV that he wanted Russia to intervene

Shouldn’t even need to waste time posting this for you.
What is your definition of "100% concrete"?  Is it the same as "overwhelming majority"?  Literally the second paragraph of the article you posted refutes your statement.

The cult has their minds erased on a weekly basis. Nothing from the past is relevant. It’s like Bill DISbarred never existed. Or the Team Mueller Report was never issued. Which, by the way, I look forward to reading POOTWH’s unredacted version, seeing how it was a perfect campaign and will totally exonerate him.

Proof beyond a reasonable doubt isn’t the same as concrete evidence? Where was the proof? What was it. He’s a lying POS, just like pretty much all career politicians.

And it’s weird that these people here are so obsessed with rape fantasies when none have ever been convicted or is there any evidence. Just guilty until proven innocent in AMT court of opinion. But when liberal media has you brainwashed it’s as expected. Enjoy your Maddow meltdowns again this evening. 🐑🐑🐑

Geez. Read please. He said that DOESN’T MEAN there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. That level of proof would be considered concrete, but Schiff didn’t say there was.
