    This is debatable, but I'm going this route because it put them more into the mainstream scene (albeit, on the edge of mainstream)

    Two fantastic albums, indeed. 
    I think the somewhat-excessive length (like virtually all double albums, imo) is what brings Exile down a notch for me.
    For any album, I think 10 or so songs (or 45-ish minutes) is enough to get the point across.
