Nice! I saw Shihad in Gisborne NZ during Episode 6 of  “Rhythm and Vines”  in 2008.  I think they were the headline act on New Years Eve. I had never heard of this band but they ROCKED. Fan ever since. 

Also saw Public Enemy (amazing) and Frank Ferdinand that weekend, I had never heard of them but they put on quite the show. Cool memories.

I would put Dinosaur Jr's last album (new one coming, but haven't heard it), Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not  up there with their best. Same with the new one by The Dream Syndicate, The Universe Inside.  These are two of my favorite bands, in part because they both keep moving forward, especially The Dream Syndicate in terms of moving in new directions- their last three are quite evolutionary.  And these are bands that both started in the early 80's.

The back to back combo of WACF and Fair Warning was the band's high point.

Fair Warning is my personal favorite of theirs.  I like the take and I find it hard to contend.

Back in the long ago days of cassettes and cassette players in cars, they used to put out these double album cassettes with two albums by a band, one on each side. I had (think I still have in a box in my garage somewhere) one that had WACF and Fair Warning on the same cassette. Wore it out in the cassette player of my first car.
